Yesterday, Lego news sites got in a frenzy when a possible first look at Series 11 emerged on the web from a Brickshelf user adjken.
Here we are! These seem to be pretty legit and not custom minifigs as the details and design look very well done and have that trademark Collectible Minifigures look.
This also confirms the rumoured list of Series 11 characters that’s been floating around the web churning rumour mills:
- Barbarian
- Bavarian Lady
- Constable
- Diner Waitress
- Evil Mech
- Gingerbread Man
- Grandma
- Holiday Elf
- Jazz Musician
- Lady Robot
- Mountain Climber
- Scarecrow
- Scientist
- Tiki Warrior
- Welder
- Yeti
Seems about right duncha think. To add further confirmation to this rumoured list, Brickset also put up this picture of the Gingerbread Man that was featured in this month’s UK Lego Club magazine.
Seems pretty confirmed eh? Series 11 blind bags will come in dark green this time and will come in boxes that look like these

One more thing I’d like to point out as to why I think these minifigs are legit. Take a look at the Evil Mech here.
See that logo on his armour? The one that looks like an upsided down Triforce from the Legend of Zelda? Now where in Lego’s entire history have we seen it before…
BAM! That’s the exact logo from the much beloved Blacktron 1 theme way back from 1987! Hope you’re convinced! I’m delighted that Lego decided to pay homage to one of my favourite themes of all time in Series 11.
First thoughts? I think the Yeti looks amazing and I love that we’re getting a popsicle accessory (these are so rare!) as well. I also think the Welder looks very impressive and a little sinister with his mask. The Lady Scientist is not too bad looking. The Female Robot looks a little meh compared to Series 6’s Robot.
The release date for Series 11 is going to be 1 September 2013 in the US, and with how they’ve been syncing up the release dates with Australia lately, it shouldn’t be too long till it arrives on our shores!
