Australian LEGO Sales January 2015

Hello and welcome to the very first Australian LEGO sales roundup for 2015! With new sets starting to show up in stores, I’m glad that retailers have started to roll out LEGO discounts and sales. To kick off January 2015, we’ve got Target and Big W with some brand new catalogues for this week.

If you’re thinking if picking up some of the new City 2015 sets, this would be a great time to do so.

Myer (Offer link  21 – 26 January)

Myer Last 6 Days

Thanks to Gary for sharing this deal

Myer currently has the best LEGO offer available, with a very tantalising 3rd toy free when you purchase 2 toys offer that runs till Monday, 26 January. To extract the best value, ideally you’d be looking at picking up 3 LEGO sets (or other toys) that have identical pricing, which should result in approximately 33% off each toy once you crunch all the numbers.

This is one of the best available deals if you’re after the new Series 13 Minifigures. I’ll definitely be using this to kick off some of my planned armies. Also, some of the newer City sets are starting to show up in Myer stores around Australia, so that could be another good pickup.

More information on the offer can be found on the Myer Website.

Big W (Catalogue link 22 – 28 January)

Big W LEGO Sale January 2015

Big W has one of those irritating discount-a-selection-of-LEGO sales. They’re a pain to navigate but there are some decent-ish deals here:

The new City sets are 20% off from their regular RRP (not Big W’s everyday low prices) but there are hardly any big savings on Minecraft. Here are some of my top picks from Big W’s late January catalogue. RRP prices are based on the set’s usual price, not Big W’s prices. Italicized sets are discounted by 20% or over.

Target (Catalogue link 22 – 28 January)

Target LEGO Sale January 2015

Target has a very neat 20% off all LEGO City, Friends and Minecraft. If you’re after any of the new City or Minecraft sets, Target should be your go-to retailer while this sale is running. The thought of cheap LEGO Minecraft should be appealing to any Minecraft fan. It also makes it so much easier that it’s a flat 20% off.

You can also shop online when these discounts get activated tomorrow:

That’s it for now, drop me a comment if you know of any other sale that I’ve missed!

Toyworld at hoppers crossing have 30% off all lego and the sale lasts till this Sunday. I happened upon it yesterday while I was calling around to find a store who had the tower bridge. I bought the tower bridge and saved $150.00. Was so happy. but their stock is low which is why they are having a big sale.

    • Jay says:

Whoa, that is a really good deal! Glad you managed to get your Tower Bridge – that’s a fantastic price!

      • Emily says:

Yeah thanks very much for your help as well. if it wasn’t for your suggestion I wouldn’t have been calling around. I’m going to order the tumbler online soon. Next up is hunting down those creator buildings. I’m slowly becoming an expert.
        Thanks again

    • Bryan says:

Do they happen to have the pet shop?

      • Jay says:

Unfortunately no. The Pet Shop was last seen at Myer and David Jones over Christmas. Doubt there are any left. Pet Shop is still available on LEGO.com though.

        • Bryan says:

I wonder that it will retire at the end of this year. Town hall’s price has already sky rocketed. Not sure whether to pick up the palace cinema though. What do u reckon?

          • Jay says:

You should definitely pick up the Pet Shop while you can. The Palace Cinema still has a lot of time left and you could probably pick one up relatively cheap in June during the Toy Sale.

            • Bryan says:

is the June sale gonna be better than myer’s current buy 2 get 3rd one free deal?

              • Jay says:

not sure if it’s better, but they will usually have more exclusive sets such as the modulars on sale. The current Myer sale us pretty good if you plan on getting normal sets!
