Australian LEGO Release Dates for the rest of the 2015 sets

LEGO 3D Catalogue 2nd half of 2015

UPDATE: For the new 2016 LEGO Australian catalogue with local release dates, check out this post here.

I’ve got some amazing Australian LEGO news to share with you guys. I’ve finally got in my hands (you have it too), the second half of 2015 LEGO catalogue which has all the local release dates for all the upcoming LEGO sets which include new Elves, City, Minecraft and even Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens!

To access the new LEGO Brand catalogue, all you have to do is download the LEGO 3D Catalogue from on your smart device.  iOS Android

You can now also access the mid-2015 LEGO Brand Catalogue online here if you don’t feel like downloading the app.

This is a HUGE source of relief for me as unlike other countries, LEGO Australia enjoys staggering release dates for their upcoming sets. I think it’s due to a distribution or supply chain issue but it’s really not fair that we have to wait till August to receive the new City Divers or Space sets when they’re already available at retail for the rest of the world. It makes even less sense when you can already order the sets on LEGO.com and have them delivered to your front door.  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

As a guy that loves reviewing LEGO sets, it’s a particularly big problem for me, as I’ll naturally be losing out against the rest of the world when it comes to showcasing and featuring the newest LEGO sets. Oh well.

New LEGO Star Wars Force Awakens Release Date

Perhaps the most interesting thing in the catalogue is the solid 4 September 2015 release date for The Force Awakens sets, as well as what looks like the first official look at LEGO BB8!

Another important bit of information is confirmation that LEGO Minifigures Series 14 (the Halloween themed one) will have an Australian release date of September!

(Thanks Chris for pointing this out) The new Ultra Agents sets are suspiciously missing from the catalogue. Does that mean we’re not getting any? I guess only time will tell.

Without further ado, here’s the release schedule for all the sets and themes that are coming out way very soon! In case you don’t have a smart device, you can click on each theme here and it will send you straight to the screenshots I took from the LEGO 3D Catalogue, as well as details on pricing and LEGO.com links if you’re impatient and want to purchase them straight away.

Lots to digest! Personally, I’m relieved that we have all the release information for the rest of the year (so I can start saving and planning my purchases)! I’m most excited about LEGO Scooby Doo, Series 14 minifigures, new Friends & Elves and the City Divers! Also, very curious to see what The Force Awakens sets will look like!

Let me know in the comments what your thoughts are and which sets you’re looking forward to the most!

    Hi there
Am wanting to purchase Fred and Velma Lego figurines. Do you know if this is possible?
    Cheers
    Naomi

  2. Spudbud01 says:

Hey Jay, thanks for all that, I am just wondering, will you be reviewing the Jokerland set?

  3. Lucy Van Pelt says:

Any idea when in August the Deep Sea sets will become available? Birthday in August looming…

    • Jay says:

Hey Lucy, unfortunately there’s no solid date. There have been some rumours about the new City sets showing up in a few Kmarts, so I think we’ll start seeing them in the next week or so! Fingers crossed!

    • Jay says:

Hi Lucy, great news! I just checked my local Kmart (Rowville in VIC) and the Deep Sea Sets were on sale! If you have a Kmart nearby, I’d check it out to see if they’re on the shelves 🙂

  4. Fahad says:

    Thank you for this post.
Do you have any news on the Technic set prices yet?

  5. gav says:

any news on prices for the scooby doo sets. I heard there will be only one shipment so I’m getting mine at RRP. The mansion and the mystery machine.

    • Jay says:

Hey Gav, sorry unfortunately no official news yet. I expect we’ll find out in a few days when they go on sale on LEGO.com in August. If you’re planning on buying them at RRP, you should just get them online as you’ll get VIP points. Where did you hear there was only one shipment from?

      • Rich says:

        Just added to the above.
I am good friends with a toy retailer in Sydney and he was only telling me the other day that there was only ONE shipment of Scooby sets to Australia.
Harder to find than the Jurassic sets.

        • Jay says:

That’s pretty disappointing if true since they’re selling so well :/

With Christmas coming up, you’d think LEGO Australia would be prepared to anticipate the shopping rush.

  6. Steve says:

Is the Antman set available at retail in Australia yet?

    • Jay says:

Not yet unfortunately. Apparently there was a design issue that had to be fixed which caused a delay with it hitting retail shelves.

  7. Matt says:

I’ll probably buy the grand hotel LOL but change out the Light purple and pink bricks (inside and out) for Dark Grey and Black bricks. Probably change the bed colours as well haha some pieces are really nice and unique to this set. Jangbricks on Youtube ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FW1StsTuFf0 ) has put up a review. I only wish Lego made this set part of the Lego Creator sets like the Bike shop and Cafe and the Toy and grocery shop. Overall the next few months will be great, Already purchased the Changing seasons set from Myer! A really nice build.

  8. Oh, so we get 2 more Star Wars HF/BIONICLE sets. Neat. Also, that LEGO BB-8 looks AWESOME! Man, I can’t wait for the new movie and sets. It’ll be sooooooo cool to have a new lightsaber hilt for Kylo Ren’s 3-BLADED-SABER!

    • Jay says:

Yeah, very cool teaser! I have to say that the Buildable Figures actually look quite cool as well. I sure hope they manage to incorporate BB8’s rolly design into his LEGO version somehow.

Knew you would be excited about the new Bionicle!

      • I’ve heard about them for a while now, but yeah, I’m WAY excited. Also, I just got the Ant-Man LEGO set, Final Battle. It’s pretty neat. The giant flying ant doesn’t hurt, either.

  9. Ben says:

The Upcoming Technic sets look awesome! Do you ever review technic stuff?

  10. Ivan says:

I’m waiting for the city divers and space sets. Thank you for the news, I really thought it might come out soon in Australian retail here since it is already available at S@H. At least I managed to get one diver starter set whilst visiting Germany last week, but decided not to pick up the larger sets hoping to get them once back home. I’m starting to regret my decision…

    • Jay says:

I’m really excited about Divers too and like yourself, was very tempted to order them online but I came to my senses and decided to wait till they arrive at retail to buy them at 20% off. I already have a hefty queue of sets to review, so I wasn’t in any rush to get them.

  11. Steppedonabrick says:

Whoa! Thanks for doing the hard work for us Jay.

I really like the look of the City divers sets, especially the one with the shipwreck in it. I think it captures some of the nostalgia of the Lego I grew up on. I might have to budget for some of that.

Also the Imperial Shuttle Tydirium is on my list and I can’t wait to find out what the Fore Awakens sets are.

    Mike

    • Jay says:

You’re welcome, I’m happy to help!

I agree with Divers. Other than Scooby Doo, I’m most excited by Divers since I’ve had a lot of fond memories to the previous Divers theme in the 90s.

The Imperial Shuttle is equally enticing, but with so many great sets on the horizon, I sure hope I have enough budget for it!
