Photos of 75827 Ghostbusters Firehouse Headquarters finally revealed! Who you gonna call?

LEGO 75827 Ghostbusters Firehouse

Great news to wake up to and extremely timely as its Halloween this week. LEGO have finally unveiled next year’s heavily anticipated Ghostbusters Firehouse Headquarters and it is a thing of beauty!

Weighing in at 4,634 pieces, the Ghostbusters Firehouse Headquarters is an ambitious move by LEGO that will definitely have Ghostbusters fans salivating in anticipation of its release date in January 2016. The Australian price for 75927 Ghostbusters Firehouse Headquarters is a respectable $499.99.

LEGO 75827 Ghostbusters Firehouse Minifigures

The behemoth of a set packs in 9 minifigures which include the likes of Peter Venkman, Raymond Stantz, Egon Spengler, Winston Zeddemore, Janine Melnitz, Dana Barrett, Louis Tully, Zombie Driver and Library Ghost, and also includes Slimer, Pink Ghost and Blue Ghost.

I really love Venkman’s Slimed face and Winston Zeddemore’s fantastic new hairpiece.

LEGO 21108 Ghostbusters Ecto-1

It’ll be extremely difficult to resist picking this set up on launch day as I was a huge fan of Brent Waller’s Ecto-1 (read my review here) which I believe was one of the standout sets from 2014. If you haven’t got yourself Ecto-1 now is the time to do so as I imagine it will be really popular as fans scramble to add the iconic Ghostbusters vehicle to their collections in preparation for the Firehouse.

LEGO 75827 Ghostbusters Firehouse Reveal

What hasn’t been revealed is the interior, which I’m guessing is going to contain plenty of fun details which will make this a terrific playset. Can’t wait to see what’s inside!

So what do you think of the Ghostbusters Firehouse? Is this a Day 1 purchase or are you going to wait for reviews to help you decide if you should drop half a thousand dollars on a LEGO set?

Top stuff…where can I buy this in Oz

As an aside, I think the “posessed Dana” is an odd choice for this set, shouldn’t there be a regular Dana, and save the Gatekeeper Dana for a rooftop battle set of some sort?

    • Jay says:

True, but in this case as Ghostbusters isn’t an established theme I really doubt that they will release any more Ghostbusters sets. Due to the massive scale, I think LEGO just decided to stuff it with all the important characters to appease the fans.

      • Matt Merrill says:

True. The tough part was probably figuring out which figures were the most iconic, I’m kind of surprised they didn’t include Gozer in place of one of the other figures like maybe the cab driver. Don’t get me wrong, it’s neat they have nods to so many recognizable ghosts and characters, but I figured they’d want to start from the top and work downward…

Looks amazing! Woefully out of my price range, but as both a GB and Lego fan, I can appreciate the beauty of it through the pics. It’s like with the Death Star set they did in the same price range – I’m an old school SW fan and collector, and totally loved how they pulled it off but knew right away I wouldn’t be laying hands on it, just living vicariously through folks who did!

    • Jay says:

I finally caved and bought a Death Star, just because it was on my bucket list and I knew that future me would regret it if I missed out. I saved up for months for it, which was quite painful! Also, there are rumours of a new UCS/playset Death Star based on the one in the new Star Wars movies so….. I figured the old one would be quite the collector’s item.

Can’t wait to see the insides though. LEGO are suspiciously coy about the interior and haven’t revealed much yet.

  4. Mark says:

TLG would be crazy to retire it anytime soon. Sales of Firehouse HQ will drive sales of Ecto-1 and vice versa. I suspect supply might outstrip demand though in the short term, particularly given TLGs recent comments in the media about a Lego shortage in the lead up to Xmas.

    • Jay says:

Well the LEGO shortage only applies to Europe/UK and to an extension Australia and New Zealand since our stock comes from the European warehouse and distribution centre. Agreed, here’s hoping the Ecto-1 lives a long, fulfilling life!

  5. Mark says:

And Ecto-1 has gone “temporarily out of stock” at Lego S@H. No surprises there. I expect it will be hard to get over the coming months!

    • Jay says:

Yikes. Well, with the Ghostbusters movie and now Firehouse coming out next year, it would be silly to retire Ecto-1 so early. I hope LEGO produces another production run so that it lives on for another year.

  6. Mark says:

So much awesome! Just2good was right on the money (again) with his ‘advanced’ info on this set.

  7. Jenson says:

For Aussie is half a thousand dollar, for Malaysian that’s close to 2 thousand dollar..yohoo!!

  8. spudbud01 says:

Wow! That is big! It is good to see a ghostbuster set with ghosts in it! 🙂

  9. Karina Latham says:

Super excited for this, what an awesome set to go with my Ecto-1, great review jay.
