LEGO Uniqlo Collection Confirmed for Australia

Here’s some great news for Australian LEGO fans – I can now officially confirm that the Uniqlo LEGO Collection will be available in in Uniqlo stores in Australia in the third quarter of the year, during the Spring/Summer season!

The collaboration between LEGO and Uniqlo, a popular Japanese fashion retailer will give LEGO fans a chance to own some pretty snazzy LEGO-themed T-shirts.

LEGO Uniqlo Launch Taiwan

The LEGO Uniqlo collection first made its debut in Taiwan and has since been popping up around the world, most notably in the United States, United Kingdom and most Asian territories.

I’m a huge fan of Uniqlo (and LEGO, in case you didn’t know) so I was quite happy to hear from Uniqlo Australia that the collection is confirmed for an Australian launch. A little sad that we have to wait till Spring (September-ish), but that’s what you get for living in the Southern Hemisphere.

As an Adult LEGO fan, it can be quite challenging getting my hands on decently designed, official LEGO apparel – I bought a couple from the LEGO Store in Tokyo last year. I can’t wait to get my hands on the Uniqlo T-shirts since the designs are pretty nice and I would actually wear them out without looking too dorky.

Unfortunately at this time, I can’t reveal the official launch date, exact designs that will be sold in Australian Uniqlo stores, or any other promotional details, so stay tuned for more information.

LEGO Uniqlo Polybag Builds

To support the launch in other countries, Uniqlo stores were giving out exclusive Uniqlo-branded polybags, which featured one of four possible LEGO models:

I believe these LEGO models are the same as the 2015 Monthly Mini Builds from countries which have official LEGO stores.

In Taiwan (and only Taiwan, if I’m not wrong), fans were also given minifigures with blank torsos that came with stickers that you could affix to the torsos bearing the same designs as the Uniqlo range.

Not sure if these will get to Australia, but I would be very surprised if we don’t get the promotional polybags at the very least.

That’s all for now! Hope you’re as excited as I am about the Uniqlo LEGO collection. I’ll be announcing the official launch date and any other relevant promotional details when I can, so watch this space!

I’m very excited about this, but disappointed not to see a women’s range on the UK or US sites. Hopefully they add some women’s designs before the Aus release.

Either way, I’ll be adding to the kids wardrobes for sure!

Yeah.. It’s a little strange that they omitted a women’s range. I’ve checked worldwide and no women’s at all. Bit disappointing.. Maybe you should write to Uniqlo to express your views so they might reconsider it for their next range 🙂

That’s awesome news Jay! I saw these online a few days ago and hoped they would make it here. Uniqlo Tee’s are very high quality and reasonably priced. If they do come with polybags, even better! I too have a store close by : )

    • Jay says:

It is! I saw it all over the net too, which is why I was so anxious to find out when they were coming to Australia. I have a few Star Wars tshirts from Uniqlo and they’re really great quality!

  3. Chris says:

That’s awesome! I live near a Uniqlo and work near a Uniqlo, so I’ll be there to get a couple of T’s! I’ll also have to keep an eye on the polybags and try and grab those when they come out too.
