It’s always great waking up to new LEGO news. I got up today and saw that LEGO had tweeted that there would be a new wave of DC Mighty Micros coming soon in January 2017.
Series 2 (I’m making an assumption that they’re naming it Series 2) of DC Mighty Micros will feature the following pairs of vertically challenged super heroes, Superman vs Bizarro, Wonder Woman vs Doomsday and Batman vs Killer Moth.
I’m pretty excited about this as I really enjoyed the first wave of Mighty Micros and feel that the entire subtheme is a really innovative and perfectly complements the Super Heroes theme.
The minifig I’m most excited about is Bizarro, who until now, has previously only been available as a Comic Con exclusive, which means 99.9% of fans probably wouldn’t have been able to get their hands on him.
I’m also stoked about Doomsday as a minifig – it’s kinda cutesy but it’ll be cool watching him pummel a short Superman into submission.
We also look like we’re getting some new torso prints and faces for DC’s trinity (Supes, Bats and WW) which is always nice, even though they kinda look a little kiddy.
Series 2 of DC’s Mighty Micros will be on display at the San Diego Comic Con (July 21-24). No word whether we’ll see another batch of Marvel Mighty Micros, but I’m pretty positive that we’ll get them as well.
The second wave of DC Mighty Micros will be released in January 2017!
And yes, I’ve still yet to review the first wave of DC Mighty Micros! But it’s in the works (along with so many other sets!). I’ve just been incredibly busy, and uh, will be making an exciting announcement soon.
So what do you think of the new DC Mighty Micros? Let me know in the comments which ones are your favourite!

I don’t mind getting another bat suit as it differs from the other previous one
Jay says
Yeah, the Mighty Micro torsos are always pretty charming
LegoFanBlue says
Series 3 should have Green Lantern vs Sinestro, Nightwing(blue) vs Mad Hatter, Green Arrow vs Deathstroke. Marvel should be Deadpool vs Colossuss, Thor vs Loki and Quicksilver vs Mystique
LegoFanBlue says
Or Dr Strange vs Dormammu instead of Quicksilver and Mystique
Jay says
It’s a longshot, but I’d really love a Phoenix…

I totally love these. I hope they make more series and hopefully put in characters exclusives like deadman and dove with matching villains. I see great potential for this.
Jay says
I just love that they’re an affordable way to get great Super Heroes characters.

I’m looking forward to these sets and for your review of the first wave of them. I was originally really disappointed with the concept when the rumors started to come out about them but when I bought them (damn that collector mentality and the desire to have all the DC items) and built them and fell in love with the concept.
Jay says
Yeah, I was a little apprehensive of these when they first came out but they grew on me too when I got them.
The best thing about this theme is hands down the price and how affordable they are.
Matt Merrill says
I will probably pick up a few of these, Bizzaro and Doomsday can be turned into full size figures pretty easily. Why does Bat’s copter look like Robin should be driving it?
Jay says
The Batcopter looks a lot like the Adam West-era helicopter, very much like the one in the Classic TV Series Batcave!
ramblingbrick says
I especially like the dark blue cowl and gauntlets on batman here
Jay says
Third appearance so far after the Classic TV Series Batcave and Pirate Batman!
Duh says
It is the older Adam West Bat copter. but yes you are right
marie says
it’s a long wait but bizarro makes it work it!
Jay says
Yes! I’m now eagerly awaiting a proper, full-time Bizarro minifig soon!
