Are you going to be at Brickvention 2017?

Brickvention is one of my favourite LEGO events of the year and it’s this weekend! Australia’s greatest and biggest LEGO fan convention is an event I look forward to every year.

If you’re unaware of Brickvention, it’s a massive LEGO public exhibition and convention, bringing together some of the country’s most talented LEGO builders and designers.

You can expect to see massive displays and dioramas, sculptures and even art, all brought together by Australia’s fantastic LEGO fan community.

This year, Brickvention’s public exhibition will be held on 14 & 15 January at the Royal Exhibition Building, located in the Carlton Gardens.

If you live in Victoria and love LEGO, I would absolutely recommend taking some time out of your weekend to visit as it never fails to disappoint every year.

Timed-entry tickets will cost $18 for adults, $9 for kids (4 – 14 years) and kids 3 years and under enter for free. This year, there is also a 2-day pass which gives you unlimited access to the exhibition throughout the entire weekend. The 2-day pass will cost adults $42 and $21 for kids.

You can purchase tickets on Brickvention’s website here. Tickets are selling fast, so don’t miss out!

This year, Brickvention will also play host to JK Brickworks, the dynamic duo that were responsible for the LEGO Ideas Maze and all sorts of cool mechanical LEGO contraptions such as the Clockwork Heart below.

They’ll be here all weekend to chat about their creations, and I’m really excited to meet them.

Be sure to also check out some of my photos from Brickvention 2016, 2015 and 2014 to get a better idea of what to expect.

I’ll be there on Friday, for the convention day as I can’t make it during the weekend. If you’re going on Friday as well, let me know and be sure to say hi!
