So firstly, apologies because this is extremely overdue! In my 2016 Retrospective, I promised a giveaway, so here it is!
This is just one of the ways I want to thank all my readers and subscribers for all your support and an kick-ass 2016!
Update: announcement post for more information! The winner has been drawn and I’m happy to announce that Sally Debenham has won the prize! Check out the
Since it’s early 2017 and there are plenty of new LEGO sets to lust over, I’m giving you the chance to do a little bit of LEGO shopping on me.
It’s really simple – all you have to do is fill up the form below (or via this link) with your details, and tell me (within the form), what set you’re looking forward to the most this year and what your favourite theme is!
That’s it!
What’s up for grabs? One lucky winner will win a LEGO order of your choice, valued up to AU$200/US$150 or whatever the equivalent value is in your currency!
Yup, you’ll get to pick anything you want from LEGO’s Online Store and I’ll have it shipped out to you. I get to keep the VIP points 😉
Here are the rules:
- One (1) winner will be drawn randomly (using random.org) and announced on the Jay’s Brick Blog Facebook Page and in this post on 5 February 2017.
- Only 1 entry per person.
- As the prize will be delivered via LEGO’s Online Store, this giveaway is only open to residents of countries that have their own online LEGO.com store. (eg: North Koreans can’t join, but South Koreans are in the clear). Apologies if this isn’t you, as I’ll need to make the order via LEGO.com
- Entries close at 11:59pm AEDT, 4 February 2017. See this countdown to check how much time remains.
- Winners will be contacted via email, where we’ll then correspond to facilitate your order and delivery details.
- If the winner doesn’t respond within 1 week, he or she will forfeit the prize and another winner will be drawn.
- The winner will have until 31 March 2017 to get your order in, if you want to time it against a certain exclusive/new set release.
- I reserve the right to make any changes or amendments to the giveaway terms/prize at my discretion.
That’s all! Thank you once again. Your support makes stuff like this possible.
Good luck!

How do we know if our submission has been successful? Do we get a notification via email?
Jay says
Unless you checked the “Receive a copy of responses via email”, you won’t get an email. Once the submission goes through successfully, you should be greeted by a confirmation message.
Bennie says
Thanks for the clarification Jay! Good luck everyone and thanks again for your kind gesture Jay!

I love lego! says
Sent in a entry from singapore but singapore doesn’t have a lego store??
Jay says
Hopefully you guys aren’t far off from a proper online store!
I love lego! says
Does a Lego certified store count?
Jay says
Sorry no 🙁
Luke says
Im confused about a few details. Firstly, is the order a single set up to the value of $200 aud or any combination of sets, eg 2 $100 sets or 4 $50 sets? Secondly, is the shipping cost at all a factor? Cos I know Aussie shipping is crazy high, I think around $60 , so is it like $200 total order, but a large chunk lost on shipping bring it down to around $140 to spend. I don’t know if $60 is exact, been a while since I checked shipping costs.
Legofanblue says
You get $200 worth of Lego, so you could get two $100 or 4 $50 or anything like that. In Australia shipping is free with purchases of $200+. Hope this helped
Jay says
Yup, what LEGOfanblue said. Hence the prize of $200, so I can hit the free shipping threshold 🙂
Hammerdragon says
Nice one Jay.
Jay says
Cheers, buddy!
Manny says
Thanks Jay!
Was wondering if my kids are allowed to enter too, they’d love to win some Lego as well, or is it just one entry per household?
Jay says
They can enter 🙂
Jen says
Cool. My son has just entered with ( with my help). He loves looking at the Lego Store on the iPad.
Jay says
Awesome, good luck! I too, enjoy looking at the LEGO store on my smartphone 🙂
Jen says
I agree, it’s an awesome giveaway! Thanks Jay.
Fingers crossed…we’ve been hit with a lot of expenses lately so would love some Lego spending money.
Jay says
Good luck!
Andrew says
Wow jay how generous are you to your readers, R U still feeling the love after your trip to to the Gold Coast.
Damn Melbourne is so far away.
Oh man, how hard is it to pick just one set to be excited about, I’m pretty keen on at least 15 sets from this year, I’m still waiting to see some of last years hard to find sets in retail stores.
Eg, Disney castle, Death Star.
Jay says
Haha, I’m always feeling the love 🙂
Agent 86 says
What an awesome competition! Now I just need to keep my fingers, arms, legs and eyes crossed so that I win!
Matt says
Can I select a set from 2016 like The Fortress?
Thanks
Jay says
Yup, anything as long as it’s available on the LEGO Online Store!
Matt says
I really want Dragon’s Forge but my parents don’t want me getting Ninjago.. 🙁
LegoFanBlue says
Why don’t they want you getting ninjago?
Jay says
Well, hope you win! I love the new Ninjago!

Stephan says

Jay says
I’ve always wanted to do a big giveaway like this. Good luck!
Mark says
Kudos for such a generous gesture ? I seem to say this every year but 2017 is looking like a very expensive one in Lego purchases!
Jay says
Just felt like giving back 🙂
Yeah, and we haven’t even seen this year’s Creator Expert and UCS sets yet too!
Alvin S says
Thank you for this giveaway, Jay!
But I have a question that I need your help with.
I am thinking of getting either Lego Arkham Asylum (70912), Lego Batcave Break-in (70909), Lego Batcave (6860), Lego Jokerland (76035).
I want your personal opinion on which you’d choose!
Thank you once again 😀
Alvin S says
Just in case I win, I have an address in Australia, but I filled out Indonesia in my form 😀
thanks!
Jay says
All good 🙂
LegoFanBlue says
If you want another opinion I suggest Jokerland. It’s such a fun and colourful set with a great selection of minifigures
Alvin S says
I see, another opinion did help!
Thank you
Jay says
You’re welcome!
Depends what you’re after – the new Arkham Asylum looks like it has plenty of cool minfigs, and the brown facade gives it a unique look. The LEGO Batcave has lots of fun play feature (i’m building and reviewing it soon!). 6860 is a bit more of a classic Batcave with some nice minifigures/ Jokerland is a lot of fun, I really enjoyed the set and I love the Teen Titans minifigures.
If I had to choose… I’d go for either Arkham Asylum or Jokerland!
Alvin S says
I see, thank you Jay 😀
Brayden says
Sorry typo Thank*
Brayden says
Thano you so much for such a great competition.
Jay says
You’re welcome! Good luck!
