LEGO 10257 Carousel now available for VIP members

If you weren’t planning on spending any money on LEGO this week, you best not read this. The LEGO 10257 Creator Expert Carousel is now available for purchase for LEGO VIP Members, two weeks ahead of its official launch of 1 June 2017!

Be sure to be logged into your LEGO VIP account to be able to put an order in. For North America and Canada, it’s likely that the VIP release window will go live tomorrow when it ticks over to the 17th of May.

Update: Looks like NA won’t be getting VIP Early Access to the Carousel. According to Korey in the comments section, apparently the VIP access date will be 22 May!

You can use these links below to access your respective country pages.

If you’ve read the announcement post for LEGO 10257 Carousel, you’d know that I’m extremely excited about this set, and has all the hallmarks of a classic set. I probably won’t buy this during the VIP Release window (as I don’t have a spare $300 lying around) but this is definitely going on to my “Most Wanted” list and I will buy it eventually.

Let me know in the comments if you’re picking the LEGO Carousel up!

The revolving section (past 2( is not very stable. Needs more tiles connecting the top to the bottom part. This is obviously stressed during rotation.

    • Jay says:

Ahh, interesting. Can you elaborate on how it gets unstable? I haven’t got mine yet, so I’d love to hear more from those who have built theirs.

      • David Kessel says:

In part 2, a revolving section is added composed of two parts held together by four 2×2 red tiles. During rotation, there is some stress on the joints as indicated by those red tiles periodically falling off.

Ahhh, interesting. I’ll keep that in mind when I eventually get my set.

          • David Kessel says:

The carousel is stable enough to revolve without falling apart when connected to the motor & battery combination. A minor problem is that the figures are not able to sit on the assorted animals that revolve. The system that causes them to rise and fall during rotation is impressive.

I saw this set in UK Lego Leicester Square last week but didn’t manage to take a photo. I thought it was on sale there as there were many classic sets on sale in the shop.

    • Jay says:

Nice! That sounds about right as it it would’ve been available to LEGO VIP members. Was it built or did you just see the box?

  3. bsbsying says:

This would definitely be in my to get list. But I will wait till it hits the store and hopefully with 20% off!

  4. Korey says:

At this point I’m not sure lego has decided it use to say coming soon may 22nd. At this point I’m assuming no early VIP access in the states

  5. Korey says:

The USA link isn’t working According to the website it’s not on sale

  6. Toni says:

Unfortunately still not live in the US. Earlier today there was a note telling VIP members to log in but that didn’t provide the ability to purchase. I spoke with a representative via Chat and she said to keep checking. Now the note is gone so I am not sure when we will be able to purchase.

  7. Marsha says:

Thanks for letting me know. I was able to include a storm trooper light to my cart and get the free Star Wars model.
