Preview: LEGO Avengers Infinity War Sets (2018)

At long last, we finally have crispy images of the hotly anticipated Avengers: Infinity War LEGO sets which have spilled all over the internet thanks to Brick Heroes today.

Update: LEGO Infinity War sets are now on sale on LEGO.com & Amazon.

Avengers: Infinity War has got to be one of the most anticipated movies of all time. Remember the hype generated by the very first Avengers? It feels like they multiplied it by a thousand this time as we see a proper convergence of the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe on-screen.

I definitely can’t wait to see it unfold on screen and my mind still finds it difficult to process seeing all these characters that we’ve followed in the past 10 years teaming up with one another, based on all the teasers and trailers released so far.

We now have a look official photos of 6 sets released so far, but I believe that there’ll be more. I think there’s 8 in total? What’s missing in today’s reveal is 76105 “UCS” The Hulkbuster: Ultron Edition, which really isn’t part of Infinity War. I also think there’s a retailer exclusive that hasn’t been revealed yet.

Like previous Super Heroes releases, LEGO have cleverly split all your beloved villains and superheroes up into these sets, so you’ll have to buy them all to get everyone.

There’s also an interesting feature as well, which is to collect all the Infinity Stones spread across these sets for Thanos’ Infinity Gauntlet which is really quite clever.

Anyway, here are the 6 LEGO Infinity War sets revealed so far. The official release date for these sets are March 2018, but some of these have been spotted in the wild in the US and Singapore.

Oh if you want to avoid spoilers, I recommend not reading this post and checking the sets out.

76101 Outrider Dropship Attack

Minifigures: Black Widow, Bearded Captain America, 2x Outriders

Infinity Stone: Space Stone

Price: AU$19.99 | US$19.99 | £19.99 (Buy from LEGO.com [AUS] [USA] [UK] [Amazon])

The smallest set contains 4 minifigures, with Captain America and Black Widow headlining. There’s a small alien dropship pod which seats 2 Outriders, these alien-arachnid henchmen of Thanos.

The set contains the Blue Infinity Stone – Space and suggests that Steve Rogers and Natasha Romanoff are one of the first ones to encounter Thanos’ forces. Interestingly, Captain America doesn’t have his shield and has Wolverine-esque claws, which I’m guessing are made of Vibranium, what with his last whereabouts being in Wakanda with Black Panther.

I’ll definitely buy this one.

76102 Thor’s Weapon Quest

Minifigures: Teenage Groot, Thor, Rocket Raccoon

Infinity Stone: Power Stone

Price: AU$39.99 | US$19.99 | £19.99 (Buy from LEGO.com [AUS] [USA] [UK] [Amazon])

Now this is one of the more interesting sets, mostly because we get a Teenage Version of Groot who is now minifig-sized (as opposed to his baby form). The setting is also quite fascinating as we have Thor at some sort of forge to craft Ultimate Mjolnir which can be seen lying on the ground.

Rocket has a small ship, and this set also contains the purple Power Stone, which was last seen on the planet Xandar in the Nova Corps vault, way back in Guardians of the Galaxy.

Definitely buying this for Teenage Groot.

76103 Corvus Glaive Thresher Attack

Minifigures: Vision, Black Panther, Shuri, Corvus Glaive and Outrider

Infinity Stone: Mind Stone

Price: AU$59.99 | US$39.99 | £34.99 (Buy from LEGO.com [AUS] [USA] [UK] [Amazon])

This set looks like an attack on Wakandan defences as it features Black Panther and his sister Shuri, supported by Vision as they fend of Corvus Glaive and an Outrider.

The set itself doesn’t look too interesting, as it’s just a wall section with a few play features built in but the characters make up for what seems to be a fairly average model.

In this set, we have the Mind Stone, which is what powers Vision (it’s embedded into his forehead). I don’t think it ends well for our android super hero.

Probably will wait for a really good discount before I pick this one up.

76104 The Hulkbuster Smash-Up

Minifigures: Bruce Banner, Falcon, Proxima Midnight, Outrider

Infinity Stone: Soul Stone

Price: AU$49.99 | US$29.99 | £29.99 (Buy from LEGO.com [AUS] [USA] [UK] [Amazon])

Here’s a bit of a spoilerish set, which features an updated Hulkbuster piloted by Bruce Banner, taking on Proxima Midnight and an Outrider with help from Falcon.

LEGO Marvel fans will be pleased to see a new Hulkbuster, but depending on the price, I might just skip this one as I don’t see it as a massive upgrade over 76031 The Hulk Buster Smash. I do wish the Hulkbuster was bulkier, like we saw in the trailers.

The set contains the Soul Stone, which hasn’t made an appearance yet, but is widely expected to be part of Black Panther.

It’s just okay. I have several Hulkbusters so I see myself buying this, but probably further down the line.

76107 Thanos: Ultimate Battle

Minifigures: Iron Man, Gamora, Star-Lord, Thanos

Infinity Stone: Reality Stone, Infinity Gauntlet

Price: AU$119.99 | US$69.99 | £29.99 (Buy from LEGO.com [AUS] [USA] [UK] [Amazon])

LEGO 76107 Thanos: Ultimate Battle is a must-buy for so many reasons. We get a new Milano which looks totally dope in its striking orange colourway as well as the big baddie, Thanos himself.

Thanos comes with a big sword and the Infinity Gauntlet which already has the red, Reality Stone in one of the sockets. The Reality Stone was last seen in the Collector’s Museum on Knowhere.

Apart from Star-Lord and Gamora, we also get Iron Man in his snazzy new space suit. As long as this set isn’t too outrageously priced, it’ll be an early purchase for me as I absolutely love Milanos.

76108 Sanctum Sanctorum Showdown

Minifigures: Doctor Strange, Iron Man, Iron Spider-Man, Cull Obsidian, Ebony Maw

Infinity Stone: Time Stone

Price: AU$169.99 | US$99.99 | £89.99 (Buy from LEGO.com [AUS] [USA] [UK] [Amazon])

Doctor Strange’s crib, the Sanctum Sanctorum is right up there in terms of sets I’m most excited about.

Set in New York, featuring the NY superhero trio of Spider-Man (in his Iron Spider suit), Dr Strange and Tony Star, this scene has them repelling an attack from Cull Obsidian who appears as a bigfig and Ebony Maw who are probably dispatched to pry the Time Stone from Doctor Strange.

The set is gorgeous, featuring a fully-detailed exterior of the Sanctum Sanctorum and a regular highrise building, making it such an attractive display piece.

The set also includes detailed interiors, which fold open much like a dollhouse, which is a pretty cool concept.

It’s about time we get decent rendition of the Sanctum Sanctorum and this set doesn’t look to disappoint. Minifigures-wise, we get the Iron Spider which is really cool, and most importantly, Doctor Strange with an updated outfit and new hairpiece which has grey streaks in it.

This is a must-buy for me.

So there you have it, the 6 LEGO Avengers Infinity War sets revealed so far!

There are still quite a number of missing characters such as Scarlet Witch, Drax, War Machine, Ant-Man,Nebula, Loki, Hawkeye, Winter Soldier and a bigfig Hulk so I’m quite curious to see how LEGO fits these in.

I’m super excited for the movie and these sets, March can’t come soon enough! I just pray these are priced appropriately so it doesn’t completely ruin my financial situation.

Which of these sets has grabbed your attention? Let me know which set you’re looking to purchase in the comments section!
