In the flurry of mad Amazon Australia sales today, I forgot to post about this but the Tim Burton 1989 Batwing is now available for LEGO VIPs globally ahead of the public launch on 1 November.
Be sure to be logged into your LEGO VIP to purchase the set. Unfortunately, unlike the 1989 Batmobile, there isn’t a cool GWP which is quite disappointing, but if you have to have it now…
- LEGO 76161 1989 Batwing [US] – US$199.99
- LEGO 76161 1989 Batwing [AUS] – AU$299.99
- LEGO 76161 1989 Batwing [UK] – £179.99
- LEGO 76161 1989 Batwing [EU] – €199.19
- LEGO 76161 1989 Batwing [CAN] – CA$259.99
UPDATE: Paul has mentioned that Double VIP points is still active if you order!
Personally, I’m going to wait on this one until there’s a substantial GWP offer, or double (or triple) points, especially closer to Black Friday/Christmas.
Can’t say much but there are a few more surprise set releases coming before the end of the year… In fact, LEGO just dropped the teaser for Sesame Street on their social media.
So if you’re saving your simoleons… I’d recommend waiting unless you absolutely have to add this to your collection, or are concerned it might sell out immediately, like most D2C sets this year.
Are you ordering the LEGO 1989 Batwing to go with your Batmobile?

Just letting you know Lego shows that I’ll get double VIP points for this purchase at checkout but they only credit 1350points into my VIP account.

Sweet Lord that’s amazing. “Where does he get those wonderful toys”. Was saving up my Brownie points for the Batmobile but this might just take the top spot.

Still showing as double VIP points at checkout on the Australian store…

Oh what, I thought it ended yesterday? Awesome, I’ve added an update!
