Hope you’ve had an awesome Christmas! Did you get a lot of LEGO?
In case Santa didn’t leave enough LEGO sets under the tree, don’t fret – Boxing Day is upon us with some potentially great LEGO deals and sales. To make it easy for you to keep track of the multitude of retailer sales, I’ve compiled special list of Boxing Day specials in one handy post.
Whether you’re bold enough to brave the crowds tomorrow or you’d rather shop online from the comfort of your pyjamas, I hope you find some good deals – if there are any left after the Christmas rush!
David Jones (Catalogue Link 25 December – 4 January)
David Jones is the first out the gates with a sweet 20% off all LEGO that ends on the 5th of January. It’s both online and instore, so that means you can avoid the crazy crowds tomorrow for some LEGO. David Jones also has special discounts for the Sydney Opera House – $299 (RRP $399) and Fairground Mixer – $150 (RRP $200) – they’re trying really hard to clear all their stock before the new 2015 sets arrive.
Myer (Catalogue link 26 December only)
Myer has a great deal only for Boxing Day – you get 60% off your second toy when you purchase two toys. Assuming you buy two sets LEGO sets that are the same price, you’re looking at a discount of 30% which is way above average. Personally, I like buying essentials like base plates or collectible minifigures to maximise savings. If you’re friendly, you could always work out a deal with other shoppers if you want to avoid buying more than you need.
According to Myer’s flyer, this offer isn’t available online so you’ll probably have to go in-store to make the best of this sale!
That’s all I’ve got for now! If you see or find out about any more Boxing Day sales, please share your findings in the comments section!
Thanks for the heads up on the Myer sale. Went into Myer Geelong and picked up two Parisian Restaurants for effectively 30% off. The Fairground Mixer is also great value at DJs or the Sopwith Camel.
You’re welcome! Wow that’s pretty awesome that you managed to find not one but two Parisians!
I’m still tossing up over the Fairground, especially with the new 2015 sets on the horizon!
Yes, very lucky, grabbed the last two 🙂
The fairground is a very clever set in the way it packs onto the trucks. My opinion is that it could end up being a classic purely on the way it’s designed. Picked up a few from DJs thanks to your post.
Toyworld in Eastland have 20% all lego. They have Winter Village Market which I had already. But I did get a Tower Bridge!
That’s pretty awesome. 20% off stuff at Toyworld doesn’t happen very often. I checked my local one and they didn’t have any discounts off LEGO
