I’d like to take this opportunity to wish my readers a very Happy Easter weekend!
This is my very first MOC (my own creation) in a long long while and it’s as simple as they come! Didn’t want to do anything with bunnies or chocolate eggs so I decided to reenact The Crucifixion as it is one of my favourite bits of the Bible, as it speaks so much about God’s grace.
Colossians 2:13-15
When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made youalive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, 14 having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross. 15 And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross
Luke 23:34
34 Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing.”And the soldiers gambled for his clothes by throwing dice
Luke 23:43-46
Amen, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise.” It was now about noon and darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon because of an eclipse of the sun. Then the veil of the temple was torn down the middle. Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I commend my spirit”; and when he had said this he breathed his last/
Blessed Easter, everyone!
Wow, this is amazing…
I must build on for myself and put a picture in my Church.
It would be cool to see more MOCs
hi, I’ve stumbled across this as I have to recreate the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and I don’t know anything about Legos and if it’s not too much to ask could you please help as to where I could find everything you used? this is a major part of my grade in bible. thank you!
Hey Shelby, I can’t quite remember all the parts I used. There mostly very basic parts – using some characters from the Prince of Persia sets. If you’re looking to get specific parts, I recommend taking a look at http://www.bricklink.com
Just stumbled on this blog, I too enjoy Lego, but it is the Lord Jesus who I am overwhelmed with and truly indebted to. Great blog site you’ve got here, great Easter set, and so encouraged by your public display of Scripture. It speaks of Jesus the wonderful king who is willing to die for his people!
Thanks Manfred! The depiction of Christ on the cross (whether in paintings or in LEGO) inspires and moves me every time I think about it.
Great job! Love this! Just one question. Where did you get the roman soldiers with the helmets?
Hello! The Roman Soldiers are from LEGO Minifigures Series 6

Ok thanks. 🙂
oh ok. great work!
This is beautiful! thank you for recreating this time in history that shows how much God love us. I wish i could make this too, just don’t have all the right minifigs….so i’m going to have to post something with bunnies and eggs.
Thank you! This was real fun to do, however it was quite a challenge getting faces that were in distress/in pain! Happy Easter!
yeah, I’m sure! pretty much all my minifigs are smiling! What set came with the piece that you used for the crown of thorns?
Ah, it was actually a barbed wire piece I improvised from 8636 – Deep Sea Quest! http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=8636-1
You can spot it at the front of the boat 🙂
This is amazing!!
Thank you 🙂
