Lego Bunny Madness

May 22, 2012 By Jay Ong 11 Comments

So you must be wondering what happened to Part 2 of my Series 7 review. Yeah… I  attempted to write it and was very close to completing it but I got terribly distracted by my favourite minifig in the series, the wonderfully adorable Bunny Suit Guy.

Lego Bunny Minifig

So… I must concede that I have a teeny, tiny obsession with this guy that I’m in the midst of amassing an army of these utterly delightful bunnies!

lego-series-7-bunnyman-2

This is just the start of something… beautiful.

So you must be wondering what got me so distracted that I abandoned my plans to finish my review. I’ll just let the following pictures do the explaining.. Trust me, it’s easier that way.

lego-series-7-bunnyman-10

Yup.. I spent half an hour on this.

AREN’T THEY THE CUTEST???

lego-series-7-bunnyman-13

lego-series-7-bunnyman-11

By now you’re probably questioning my mental sanity… but I assure you that I am totally fine. But, if somehow my Bunny Suit Guy count goes beyond 20… then maybe stage an intervention of some sort.

This is my favourite shot from last night 🙂

Okay. I promise to get going on my Review… Sooner or later.

In Lego Words (Videogame) There’s a Medium Nougat Bunny Suit girl, I hope lego Releases a Minifigure of Her (Although most of the pieces already Exist) (it’s only really the Torso thay need to make),

This is the greatest!!!! As my severely fake sounding name suggests…I have a complete obsessions with Rabbit related items…THAT paired with my Lego obsession…makes this the best find of the day on the ol’ internet.
Well done my friend!!!! I friggin LOVE that rabbit guy. Wish they’d make him a key chain. My Lego key chain collection is making my car key hard to locate. ;D

Hi Christie! Doesn’t sound fake at all, rabbits are pretty cool 🙂

I have good news, they actually have an oversized Bunny Suit Guy keychain! I managed to find one in Japan: https://jaysbrickblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/Giant-LED-LEGO-Bunny-Suit-Guy.jpg

Are you from the US? Might help checking if your nearest LEGO store has one, or if you can pick one up on eBay. It’s definitely my favourite keychain 🙂

Cute! love it! This one is my daughter’s favorite! I went to 2 stores (one was the Lego store) over the weekend and could not find this one! They were all gone and she was disappointed. Hopefully soon the stores will get more and I can find this one for her.

By the way, where did you get the pink basket from?

Ahh, hope you find some soon! These guys are rare, only 3 per box, so try looking in fresh boxes if possible! You can try feeling for the bunny headgear, it’s really distinctive and easy to pick out.

The pink basket was from a Friend set, 3183 – Stephanie’s Cool Convertible!

The 2023 LEGO Employee Gift was delivered by the p The 2023 LEGO Employee Gift was delivered by the postman today and it's beautiful!

This is 4002023 Gingerbread House, a brick built LEGO Advent Calendar with 24 mini builds you can discover each day as you count down to Christmas!

As a member of the LEGO Ambassador Network, we are incredibly privileged to receive this set, and is something I look forward to each year as we close out the year.

No spoilers here, but I hope you can appreciate the great box and graphic design, and just how cool this LEGO Dots-adjacent set is!

I'll be sharing the builds daily here on Instagram (with a one day delay to prevent inadvertent spoilers), so keep an eye out!

Also 1 December is when we kick off the annual Jay's Brick Blog Advent Calendar countdown! Hope you're ready!

Here's a look at the Sapphire Star, the locomotive Here's a look at the Sapphire Star, the locomotive that pulls the @lego Orient Express!

Honestly, I think the Locomotive looks pretty good. In the flesh, it's much more attractive than LEGO's marketing photos and on the box art.

The boiler is a little short and stubby, and it looks plain from the front but there's plenty of nice details such as the gold and blue colour scheme, minions heads, gold pens and also NPU usage with the helicopter blades for the running board.

It's definitely not as impressive the original ideas submission, but with LEGO having to work with @orientexpress, many of the changes came at the behest of the IP partner, including the colour change.

That said, the Orient Express has never been about the locomotive (the carriages are the stars), but I think it's still a very fun build - just that the bar set by the original submission was too high!

In case you were wondering, here's the @lego Orien In case you were wondering, here's the @lego Orient Express next to one of the most legendary trains ever, The Emerald Night!

The Orient Express is satisfyingly large and the carriages are the star of the show, dwarfing The Emerald Night's singular carriage.

Special thanks to @ramblingbrick for loaning me The Emerald Night for this comparison!

Here's a look at the LEGO Marvel Taxi, a gift with Here's a look at the LEGO Marvel Taxi, a gift with purchase that you can only get if you purchase 76269 Avengers Tower from 24-27 November 2023, while stocks last.

As you can see, it comes in the yellow GWP boxes, and the elements are packed into a singular ziploc bag instead of the usual numbered plastic bag - this is typical for these yellow box GWPs as they are produced in very limited numbers and are packed by hand.

Thankfully the minifigures aren't exclusive, but it was a pleasant surprise that all the decorations are printed, including the license plate tile which has the Avengers Tower initials (AT) and set number printed on it.

It makes for a good companion to the taxi from the Daily Bugle, and whilst not absolutely necessary for the Avengers Tower, it's a decent enough bonus to reward those that buy it at launch.

You'll also be able to stack the Majisto's Workshop and Winter Market Stall GWPs, so it's a actually a really good time to order the Avengers Tower if it's on your wishlist.

(。◕▂ ◕。) You wouldn't like me when I'm k (。◕▂ ◕。) You wouldn't like me when I'm kawaii!

We get a brand new Hulk bigfig, which includes a wig for the bigfig head. This allows The Hulk to swivel and turn his head properly for the first time ever.

The new bigwig also makes for some fun combinations possible.

As a bonus, I've included a group photo with some of the other bigfig green Hulks.

Took a deep dive into all the minifigures from the Took a deep dive into all the minifigures from the @lego Avengers Tower, which launches on 24 November!

With 29 minifigures, 1 Ant-man nanofigure and 1 Hulk bigfig, the set contains the most minifigures in a retail set!

There are a total of 15 exclusive figures which feature slightly updated designs, new characters like Alexander Pierce and Erik Selvig to dramatic upgrades like Vision and a new bigfig design for the Hulk.

It's definitely "the most Avengers" set ever in minifigure terms, but there's still a number of characters that are central to the forming of the Avengers like Agent Coulson, Happy Hogan or even Maria Hill.

Which characters would you have liked to see in this lineup?

Here's a look at the LEGO Marvel Taxi gift with purchase. It'll only be available from 24-27 November when you purchase the Avengers Tower.

As with all yellow-packaged GWPs, expect there to be limited quantities, especially as the Avengers Tower is looking to be a really popular set.

I wouldn't wait around if you are planning on picking up the Avengers Tower. Hopefully there'll also be a slew of other GWPs that you can benefit from as well.

Review to come soon!

LEGO's Cyber Monday sales are now live worldwide, but alas, there isn't too much to be excited about as many of the heavy-hitting sets and GWPs have sold out worldwide.
