75330 Dagobah Jedi Training from the LEGO Star Wars Diorama Collection revealed!

Following yesterday’s reveal of 75329 Death Star Trench Run, thanks to Brickset, we now have a more detailed look at the second set from the 2022 LEGO Star Wars Diorama Collection – 75330 Dagobah Jedi Training.

Update: We now have pricing and a 26 April 2022 release date for the Dagobah Jedi Training Diorama! Check out the official reveal for more images, and you can also pre-order all the sets from the Diorama collection now on LEGO.com

The set features a small, self-contained diorama scene, featuring the iconic Jedi Training scene from Empire Strikes Back, where Luke Skywalker goes in search of Jedi Master Yoda on Dagobah to show him the ways of The Force.

Unlike the Death Star Trench Run, 75330 Dagobah Jedi Training is a minifigure-scale build, with Yoda’s Hut and Dagobah swamp captured in a small rectangular display base, with the tip of Luke’s X-Wing sticking out of the bog.

Yoda, Luke, and R2-D2 make an appearance here to complete the entire package, and there are plenty of great details contained in Yoda’s Hut as well. R2-D2 also has a new printed dome, and mud splatters across his body.

Perfect for fans of the Original Trilogy and Empire Strikes Back who want a compact, yet classy minifigure diorama of one of the most memorable parts of ESB.

Overall, I think this is my favourite out of the bunch – while I love micro-scale, I think compact minifigure scenes like these work so much better, and if I had to pick one to put on my work desk, or to display, it would be Dagobah Jedi Training.

There’s one more LEGO Star Wars Diorama collection set yet to be spoiled/revealed – the Trash Compactor scene, so keep an eye out on the blog when that drops!

What do you think of Dagobah Jedi Training? Do you like this direction LEGO Star Wars is headed towards?

I find it really attractive, but am hesitating about purchase. I already have the last Yoda hut, sitting in a storage box. I’ve got so many built and unbuilt sets and have decided to start scaling back on purchases. The price seems quite high, especially if you are to purchase the three sets. Like the helmets, I feel I’d have to get the entire series if I start down that path!

That’s fair – I wrote a follow-up post on the price, and this new sub-theme, but unless you’re a completionist, I think you can pick and choose with these.

As these aren’t top of the line UCS sets, I’m hopeful we’ll see further discounts at retailers for these sets, which will make them much more of an appealing purchase.

I think I suffer from FOMO. I often buy stuff in case it’s not around at a later stage. I bought the Hogwarts Moments and I’m not even a HP fan, particularly. They looked attractive, so I got the Series. However, we are getting a Lego store (finally!) in Dublin this year, so there may be more opportunities to actually get a physical copy, instead of relying solely on online stock levels. I think this will make the panic buying issue less of an issue for me.

Do the tree arches suffer from the “Brittle Brown” issues? That is a lot of brown for a little set.
