Hear that? That’s the sound of a LEGO theme slowly withering away before it inevitably meets its maker. If you can’t hear anything, just imagine a Llama making terminal sounds, with a dope techno beat thumping in the background.
In a surprising (that it’s happening so soon), it looks like Big W Australia have begun clearing their stock of LEGO Vidiyo Summer 2021 sets, which have only been out for less than 2 months – for a tantalising 50% off the entire range. Naturally, Amazon Australia have also followed and price-matched them.
- LEGO 43110 VIDIYO Folk Fairy Beatbox – $10
- LEGO 43109 VIDIYO Metal Dragon Beatbox – $10
- LEGO 43114 VIDIYO Punk Pirate Ship – $59
- LEGO 43115 VIDIYO The Boombox – $69
- LEGO 43112 VIDIYO Robo Hiphop Car – $20
- LEGO 43113 VIDIYO K-Pawp Concert – $39
- LEGO 43111 VIDIYO Candy Castle Stage – $20
All other Wave 1 beatboxes are also on sale for $10 a pop.
Check out the range on Big W’s website as well which has the Punk Pirate Ship on discount, as Amazon Australia still hasn’t adjusted pricing for it yet . Amazon Australia’s free shipping threshold is a little more forgiving, only having to hit $39 to qualify, instead of Big W’s $65 free shipping threshold.
Honestly at 50% off, the Vidiyo sets become really compelling purchases for the actual sets and minifigures themselves. Great if you don’t care about the app and just want cool new characters.,
In addition to Vidiyo, Amazon Australia also has these new Summer 2021 sets on sale as well, at about 30% off.
- LEGO 71754 NINJAGO Water Dragon – $89 (26% off)
- LEGO 31120 Creator 3in1 Medieval Castle – $111 (30% off)
- LEGO 31119 Creator 3in1 Ferris Wheel – $99 (30% off)
- LEGO 31117 Creator 3in1 Space Shuttle Adventure – $55 (31% off)
If you’re in the United States, they’re celebrating Christmas in July, and 40426 Christmas Wreath has made a surprising return. No luck for us here in Australia, or the UK

Rather than supporting either of those (who needs to send a billionaire to space, it’s just gross?!?), consider supporting a local hobby shop. A quick search shows that most hobby shops are also knocking the prices down, so give them your business instead!!! For the Aussies, my go to’s are Metro Hobbies, Hobby Warehouse and Rick James Bricks, but definitely have a quick search to see who’s near you.
I’ll be honest Jay, I know it’s my privilege speaking when I say I’ll literally never give Amazon another dollar, they’re just a really disgusting company, but maybe you could use your (increasingly powerful) voice to give sales to companies that are actually good for the planet?

If your business model replies on the evilness of others, it’s not a good business model. 🤷♀️

This does not surprise me. No doubt due to many issues with the application. I have seen feedback on line that people were having issues with it and were annoyed at the process to see their video. My phone met every single one of the technical requirements but because it was not a recommended model I could not download the software. No one at customer support could explain that one to me. Agreed that if you are a minifigure lover it might be worth picking up a few.
