Amazon Australia and Afterpay Day LEGO sales roundup – updated 18 August 2022

This week is shaping up to be a decent week of LEGO sales in Australia, with Afterpay Day kicking off from 18-21 August 2022.

Amazon Australia has begun their sales, with a decent 15% off sale on a range of large exclusives. Of note is 10303 Optimus Prime which has now become more widely available to general retailers, the 75313 UCS AT-AT, and even new releases such as 76223 Nano Gauntlet.

These large sets infrequently get discounted, so they’re at a decent price.

For any flash sales, be sure to follow my Facebook page where I tend to post limited-time only offers!

Here’s a number of decent LEGO sets on sale that I’ve curated that you might like. Do note, some of these might go out of stock, or Amazon might change the prices. All prices here accurate at time of publishing

Big W eBay Afterpay Day Sale – 18-19 August

If you head over to the Big W eBay Store, you can use the code AFPAYDAY for an additional 15% off, with a maximum discount of $150.

You’ll need to pay for shipping, but there are some really great deals to be had because it stacks with the ongoing 20% off LEGO sale at Big W.

New deals as of 18 August

Deals as of 16 August

Also kicking off tomorrow (17-18 August) is a 20% off LEGO sale at Big W, but it’ll be online only. Great news if you’ve been meaning to pick up the LEGO Classic 90 Years of Play set, as it’s a Big W exclusive.

You might also want to wait for Afterpay Day to kick off as there may be more discounts and sales that are yet to be unveiled by retailers.

Update: Not sale related, but 10300 Back to the Future Time Machine is now on back-order in Australia, shipping in late September!

Hint: Australian Father’s Day which falls on 4 September is coming up, so it’s a great time to pick a gift up for your LEGO-loving dad. Or you know, if you’re like me, treating yourself.

I’ve taken a look at the Big W sale. Some (perhaps all) sets are 20% off the original price before Lego did price rises. For example, the Orchids and Succulents sets ($63 each) are 20% off original price of $79 instead of the new price of $99, making them cheaper than anywhere else I’ve seen it. (For comparison, Amazon is running 31% off the new price of $99 giving a discounted price of $69.)

Might be worth taking a look and picking out the best deals.

Regarding the 20% off sale at Big W- do you know if “online only” just means the deals are online, but still eligible for click-and-collect? Or will it have to be delivery?
