Swing into the LEGO Spiderverse with LEGO 76178 Daily Bugle – THE ultimate LEGO Spider-Man set and strong contender of best set of 2021.
This 2021 Daily Bugle is packed with a mind-boggling 25 minifigures, which includes the who’s who of Marvel’s New York superhero population – including some surprise (but very welcome additions) such as The Punisher, Daredevil and Blade who make their LEGO debut in this set.

Not hyperbole, but this is a very, very strong contender for set of the year.
What minifigures are in the LEGO Daily Bugle (76178)
Let’s get to the main selling point of the set (not the height, unbelievably) but the incredible selection of 25 minifigures included.
- The Punisher
- Daredevil
- Mysterio
- Blade
- Peter Parker
- Spider-Man
- Betty Brant
- J. Jonah Jameson
- Ben Urich
- Aunt May
- Gwen Stacy
- Robbie Robertson
- Miles Morales
- Doctor Octopus
- Ghost Spider
- Ron Barney
- Venom
- Carnage
- Firestar
- Bernie the Cab Driver
- Spider Ham
- Amber Grant
- Black Cat
- Sandman
- Green Goblin
For Marvel fans, the inclusion of Daredevil, The Punisher and Blade are just mind-blowing, especially since Blade and The Punisher are usually R-rated properties, and Daredevil’s Netflix series wasn’t the most family friendly.
But kudos on LEGO to finally releasing these 3 minifigures.
There are of course some classic Spider-man villains like Rhino, Kingpin, Scorpion and the Vulture missing, but there’s a TV screen on the outside that references Dr Kurt Connors (Lizard), Professor Miles Warren (Jackal) and Scarlet Spider, a Spider-Mman clone.
The Daily Bugle towers above most other LEGO builds at 82cm tall – handsome man bun man for scale, making this a standout build to display, that also benefits from a relatively small footprint.
Here’s the back which features 4 floors of the Daily Bugle’s famed newsrooms, and J Jonah Jameson’s offices.
The exterior is very skyscraper-y, and features this awesome frozen-in-time shot of the Green Goblin bursting out of the structure, with twisted steel and broken glass for dramatic effect.
Seriously, how cool does this look? The building’s height makes great use of Spider-man’s web slinging and serves as an expansive backdrop for all sorts of different poses and action.
Including a Spider-car that can climb walls, because this wouldn’t be a LEGO Spider-man set without a spider-vehicle.
Here are more shots of the build – I especially love the brick-built signage out the front.
Why is this a contender for set of the year?
I love, love, love that LEGO included this Spider-man Desk Meme in the build. Utter perfection.
Context (with slightly NSFW text)
This is a really fantastic build, and I love the detail of the interiors that show off the bustling Daily Bugle Newsroom.

So what do you think of the LEGO Daily Bugle? Will you be adding this to your collection?

Will this set eventually be available in Kmart and other retail shops just like the Mos Eisley Cantina ended up being?
Brian says
While May 26 for VIP and June 1 will be the order dates for these sets; do we know what the Ship date will be? For example, the Infinity Gauntlet opened today for VIP ordering (May 18) but the ship date is Aug 1
I’m asking as we’re making plans for “will this arrive in time for a birthday gift” 😉
Chris says
If you pay for express delivery i think it’s sent the next day, and if you choose standard it takes a couple days. If you buy it early, they ship it early

Why is the AU link showing 404 when i click on the link ?
Alasdair says
What time will the set drop?
N. Ryan says

Ct says
It’s so ridiculous why is it always so much more than the actual USD to AUD
Ben says
The price in AUD is always bad.
Sillyfrog says
AU price includes GST, where as US does not – but still a ripoff!
