Build your very own LEGO Dobby the House Elf (76421)!

Here’s our very first look at an upcoming Summer 2023 LEGO Harry Potter set – 76421 Dobby the House Elf, courtesy of German retailer Thalia!

Everyone’s favourite House Elf now comes in a buildable form, and should hopefully go pretty well with 76393 Harry Potter and Hermione Granger.

We don’t have a price or release date yet, but as photos are already available, it’s safe to assume that the LEGO Dobby the House Elf will be out in June.

I’m not quite sure what to make of this set as it looks quite odd. There are some nice features such as Dobby’s oversized ears, and new printed eyes, but his arms and massive feet look quite odd.

His legs also look quite rigid, and while he does stand on a low plinth which adds a bit of extra height, and he has a stickered plaque with his name on it, I can’t help but imagine how much this set is going to cost.

He does come with a few appropriate accessories such as an old sock, hidden in Tom Riddle’s diary, which Harry uses to trick Lucius into grantimg Dobby his freedom, as well as an elaborate cake.

While the set does have 403-piece, I suspect the piece-count is greatly inflated by all the little studs and flowers used for the cake.

This is really aimed at ardent LEGO Harry Potter fans and completionists, who want a buildable version of their beloved House Elf to to display, but looking at it, I really would’ve liked if they had included a minifigure Dobby to go along with it.

We should hopefully get to see the rest of the LEGO Harry Potter 2023 sets soon as more Second Half 2023 sets get revealed as we edge closer to June!
