For long-suffering LEGO DC and Batman fans, the long wait is over with 76252 Batcave Shadow Box, which will be available for LEGO VIPs on 5 June 2023.
It features a really interesting shadow-box design that opens up to reveal a fully decked out Batcave, and in true Batman fashion, is mostly built out of black and very, very dark grey.
It has an incredibly high price, but I’m fairly intrigued by this set and will be picking it up myself, mostly because I love Batman, and I want to vote with my wallet and show LEGO that I’d love more hyper-detailed DC sets like this,.

There’s a small wave of LEGO Marvel and DC Super Heroes sets, with Wolverine, Captain America and Batman Construction Figures, as well as 76260 Black Widow & Captain America Motorcycles.
Curiously the product pages haven’t gone up for the US and Australia yet, so I’m not 100% sure if these will be available in June, but it’s likely they’ll be.
Check out my review of 76260 Black Widow & Captain America Motorcycles, and Wolverine and Captain America Construction Figures to see more of the sets!
And that’s it for LEGO’s massive June 2023 release slate!

Hello Jay, thank you for putting these together. I asked my local Lego store about the flowerpot gwp, and they told me that the flowerpot gwp was not coming back. Their website does not bring up any info on it either. Would you happen to have any additional info on that?
Thank you!
Jason says
Great page overall that I constantly come back to. I was wondering if you had any insight to when sets listed in this particular post would be releasing in the US? I’ve asked Lego by email and my local stroe, and they can’t seem to tell me for some reason that continues to perplex me. Hoping you might know morethan they do or that they have otherwise let slip dates. I appreciate anything you might be able to help with.
Jay Ong says
Is there a particular set you are after?
Jason says
Yes. IN this case, I’m actually looking for 2. 76257 buildable Wolverine and 76259 Buildable Batman. I figure you’re the closest person on the net I can find that might have the insight! Thanks so much for anything you can let me know!
Jay Ong says
I’ll check with LEGO and hopefully get back to you soon once I get to the bottom of it!
Jay Ong says
Hey Jason, I finally heard from LEGO and they will be released in the US on 1 August 🙂
Jason says
Jay, thanks so much for running that down and letting me know! I greatly appreciate it!
Reader says
Thank you for the roundup, Jay. These must take a fair bit of time to put together? Appreciate the effort to make things easier for your readers. There are a lot of exciting (and unfortunately expensive) new sets coming up.
There seems to be an incomplete sentence under Ninjago City Markets: “June 2023 is going to be a MASSIVE month for”.
Andrew says
Thanks Jay for all the effort that you put into this post. Will really help try to prioritise when (hopefully) I can get to a store tomorrow.
Just one comment on the platform if I may – I know this has nothing to do with you directly, but reading this post on my phone it was broken up by no fewer than 19 display ads. I know that pays for the site, but are there any options to bring this down to a more reasonable level?
Jay Ong says
Hmm, I’ve been getting a few comments. I’ll check with my ad company to see if they made any changes. It should be spaced out quite a bit so it isn’t too overwhelming.
Andrew says
Cheers, Jay, don’t sweat it, it is only a minor irritation and your content will always make it worth it.
Moshe C says
Some of your links to Disney villains goes to Disney duos. Thanks for putting together this huge list of links.
Jay Ong says
Thank you, I’ve fixed that up!
Maks says
…. there’s no GWP from June 3rd to june 16th?
gutting to miss the Pirate playground or the Flowerpot if i wanted the Batman shadow box.
Jay Ong says
There’ll be double VIP from 9-13 if its any consolation.
Erica says
I’m hoping to get the Disney Villains Icons set for my birthday in July. My husband has been informed of this request! 🤣
Jay Ong says
It’s a great set, I’m putting it together and it’s so much fun!
