After weeks of deliberation with Wizard’s of the Coast, The LEGO Ideas team have announced that Dragon’s Keep: Journey’s End by BoltBuilds has been selected as the winner of the LEGO Dungeons and Dragons fan vote!
Beating 4 other finalists, this set will now go into development and production, to become a physical LEGO Ideas set to celebrate 50 Years of Dungeons and Dragons.
LEGO Castle, Dungeons and Dragons fans and everyone in between are bound to be delighted with this submission. It has minifigures, dungeons and even a dragon, so what more could you ask for!
Check out more photos of the fan design and some of the features.
Do note that this fan design will then be adapted by LEGO Designers, and may look dramatically different when officially revealed. The 50th anniversary of Dungeons and Dragons is in 2024, so expect this to arrive next year!
It features great routes with changable doors each time to always have a story with different goals to tell!
The Witches Tower An old ruin that has a lab, armory, a waterwell and a trap door to deter unwanted visitors.
The Tavern, where many stories begin and are concluded, maybe there is something lurking in the basement, or other passages leading to treasure.
The Dungeon underneath the tower is a massive cavern where many things can be found, and not all are good things. A beholder lurks here and can be floated by a rope.
The Crypt has also got treasure, but is it worth risking your life?

As a fantasy nerd I want this. But spending up to $500 is a little much. Wish Lego would stop selling for only the rich to buy.
Ragadaz says
This was my vote so great! Hopefully around $200 but these days that might be optimistic:)
Jay says
It might be US$200..

I work at Legoland ny. This looks like it’s easily going to be in the 260-360 range. If not higher
Chet says
When is it coming out? Can we preorder it yet?
John says
Love it! I look forward to buying and building this set when it comes out.
Kruesae says
Lego will change it to azur and pink and the dragon will become a snake to increase Legos profit.

Love the d and d movies and the 80’s cartoon. Also a fantasy nerd so i really want this. It’ll look good with my dragon castle that came out years or decades ago. But I’m worried for the price. More and more they are getting more expensive and bigger.

If this ever becomes a lego set that is sold to the public, my kid would lose his mind

My theme is Castle and I missed the Castle in the Forest presale. I enjoy D&D even though I rarely play. If this set is $200 or less I am buying at least 2 to build with and 2 as investments to sell later. It definitely has easy to imagine double size potential based on the shape of the layout. Having an extra Beholder, Red or Green Dragon, and Minifigs is great by me! If the leftover parts from the 2x are cool, then maybe a quad build is in order. My own budget is the limit. Lion Knights Castle looks great but I still don’t have the $ to get it!

But if you can afford to spend 800 bucks on 4 of this set, surely you have enough for the Lion Knight’s castle! hehe
Jay says
I hope it’ll be around the $200 mark to ensure it’s accessible to both LEGO and D&D fans.
Dario Ciccarone says
I love it – especially the dragon. However, it’ll end being a $600 set . . . this is getting really expensive as a hobbie.
Jay says
I’m hopeful that it’ll be scaled down, so that it’s accessible to Dungeons and Dragons fans, and not just for hardcore LEGO fans with deep pockets.
Also hopeful that we’ll get some sort of minifigure/create your own party pack in addition to this set!
