First look at LEGO Black Panther Wakanda Forever sets!

Thanks to the LEGO Instructions portal, we now have our very first look at the upcoming LEGO Black Panther Wakanda Forever sets!

Three sets have been revealed so far, following the release of the Teaser Trailer at San Diego Comic Con

  • 76211 Shuri’s Sunbird
  • 76212 Shuri’s Lab
  • 76213 King Namor’s Throne Room

There is no pricing or release date yet, but these look pretty accessible, and the sets give us our very first look at Shuri in her regular costume, and Black Panther costume, Namor, Ironheart and Nakia in her awesome new green suit.

I’m really loving the Namor minifigure, as well as Shuri’s new hair-piece.

Hopefully we’ll get higher res images soon!

Much like the first BP movie, the builds look very lackluster for these sets.

That being said, unlike the first BP movie sets, the minifigs here look really good. The prints on all of the figs, save the Black Panther in Shuris lab lacking leg printing again, look amazing. Namor especially with his side leg printing!

The sunbird seems pretty overpriced, but the Throne set seems reasonable and I think I’ll definitely grab one for the throne and Namor alone.

    • Jay says:

Yeah, the Throne set is the winner to me. The sunbird looks cool, but it’s really hard to tell just how large the model is from the renders/official photos.

Hopefully it’s one of those sets that look better in person.

  2. StepOnBricks says:

Have to admit, first glance at the pics disappointed me quite a fair bit…they could have done much more with the sets, what with Black Panther being such a popular franchise.

Shuri’s Sunbird lacks detail and colour though the model itself is pretty well-shaped. The other 2 sets however lack anything of great interest other than the minifigs, which even then are replicated across the 3 sets without variation in print.

Hope to see less anti-climatic releases, though this is just IMO

    • Jay says:

That’s fair, thanks for sharing your thoughts. They’re very basic, and look like LEGO are aiming squarely at kids, with nice minifigures to keep adults interested.
