First semi-official photos of the spooky LEGO Series 14 minifigures

June 19, 2015 By Jay 2 Comments

UPDATE: Check out my LEGO Minifigures Series 14 review!

UPDATE: The official photos of Series 14 are out! Check my most recent post out for a look at all the characters from Series 14!

LEGO Series 14 Minifigures First Look

The folks over at Hoth Bricks have given us the first official look at the upcoming horror-themed LEGO Series 14 minifigures. The image seems to indicate an October release date for Series 14, nicely timed to coincide with Halloween.

Update: I can confirm that the Australian release date for the Halloween LEGO Minifigures Series 14 is September.

The four minifigures featured are a Franskentein’s monster with an electric guitar, a very classic looking Witch with a black cat, a minifigure in a Skeleton Costume and a Vampire Lady.

Leaked LEGO Series 14 Minifigs

What’s interesting about the image that Hoth Bricks unearthed is that it corroborates this leaked image which emerged a couple of months ago. As you can see, Vampire Lady, Witch and Skeleton Guy are all present, which gives the leaked image a lot more credibility.

Curiously, Skeleton Guy seems to have undergone a few cosmetic changes, especially his different head but the Witch and Vampire Lady are looking almost similar, except the leaked version doesn’t have them wearing fabric accessories.

Here’s the rumoured lineup:

  • Rocker Monster
  • Crazy Witch
  • Skeleton Guy
  • Vampire Lady
  • Mad Scientist
  • The Fly
  • Gargoyle
  • Grim Reaper
  • Ghost/Phantom
  • Bigfoot
  • Tiger Woman
  • Werewolf
  • Zombie Cheerleader
  • Zombie Businessman
  • Zombie Pirate Captain
  • Plant Monster

The Zombies are definitely going to be popular and I think so will Tiger Woman. As October approaches, it should only be a few more weeks till LEGO officially announces and reveals all the characters from Series 14.

I’m personally very excited about Series 14. The Simpsons Minifigures Series 2 were alright but can never hold a candle to regular minifigs in wacky costumes and getups. Get here already, October!

Fans of 1960s Batman and Adam West rejoice! I've got an early review copy of the soon-to-be-released 76188 Classic TV Series Batmobile which launches on 26 April!

A nice little update to the Classic Batcave version, especially if you missed out on the 2016 set.

Love how inexpensive this little set is, and I liked how well it functions as a display model that doesn't require a ton of space.

It's finally here! So glad I can finally share my It's finally here! So glad I can finally share my review of the @LEGO Looney Tunes Minifigures!

Hit the link in bio to read my review and see all 12 characters!

Really enjoyed the insane level of detail packed into these iconic characters, and while the accessories were lacklustre, Looney Tunes has such a rich heritage of iconic designs and characters that works so well as minifigures.

Shout out to @cheepjokes for hooking me up with a complete set because my review box hasn't made it to me just yet 🥶

Lots of stickers, lots of teeth and not enough Sym Lots of stickers, lots of teeth and not enough Symbiote tendrils.

My early review of 76199 Carnage is now live on the blog, hit the link in bio to read, or swipe through the gallery to see more photos!

If you enjoy LEGO’s Helmet collection, or are a big Carnage/Spider-Man fan Carnage will be a no-brainer addition to your collection.

With all my helmets currently on display, Carnage is the ones that stands out the most, in a good way, and I like that they’re expanding Marvel’s helmet collection.

I do think that there’s a wasted opportunity here with the lack of tentacles, or Symbiote tendrils sticking out from the back. I know it will technically break the Helmets’ style and design language, but for a character like Carnage, it feels like a massive miss to not have anything stick out.

Will you be picking up 76199 Carnage?

🚨 BREAKING: Effective immediately, the LEGO Gro 🚨 BREAKING: Effective immediately, the LEGO Group announced that it would be strengthening its commitment to Child Safety and Safe Play by mandating that proof of age identification be presented when purchasing all 18+ adult-focused sets, online or at LEGO Brand Retail Stores.

LEGO sets being purchased by adults have quadrupled in the last year compared to a decade ago, as adults flock towards the LEGO brick, a trend that was accelerated by the Covid-19 pandemic.

To prevent these 18+ sets from falling into the wrong and age-inappropriate hands, The LEGO Group will now require its customers to provide the following proof of age documents: driver’s license, passport, social security card (USA) or any other valid government-issued form of identification.

“At the LEGO Group, child safety is our number one priority” says Søren Christiansen, Senior Child Safety Compliance Officer.

“Following complaints from parents, we cannot afford to expose impressionable children or teenagers to adults-only sets like Winnie the Pooh. The LEGO 18+ label has allowed us to broaden our product portfolio and explore adult-themes like 123 Sesame Street, which would be highly inappropriate for children.”
