Here are LEGO’s pre-Black Friday 2021 VIP Weekend offers and GWPs!

November 15, 2021 By Jay Ong 12 Comments

LEGO have unveiled their offers for VIP Weekend 2021, their pre-Black Friday sales weekend which runs from 20 – 21 November 2021.

On offer is a larger-than-usual selection of gift with purchases (GWPs) for LEGO VIPs, double VIP points, as well as incentives for making large purchases through LEGO.com.

Note: this isn’t LEGO’s Black Friday shopping event (which includes the release of the UCS AT-AT), but if it’s like previous years, LEGO.com typically runs out of most interesting items by the Black Friday Cyber Monday weekend, so it’s best to plan your purchases around the 20th and 21st.

Here’s the list of LEGO VIP Weekend 2021 promotions (20-21 November)

  • Double VIP Points on all purchases
  • Retro LEGO logo Tin Sign GWP – free with purchases over US$250 / AU$309 / £250
  • 40484 Santa’s Front Yard GWP – free with purchases over US$170 / AU$229 / £170
  • Buildable Vintage camera VIP reward – redeemable with 2000 VIP points in the VIP Rewards Centre
  • VIP Sweepstake: win a 55cm tall Bonsai Tree – UK/Europe only
  • VIP Reward Centre Sale – discounted VIP Rewards

Update: the retro LEGO logo tin sign’s redemption period has been extended till 25 November.

Check out the details for each VIP Weekend Offer for your region below:

  • LEGO VIP Weekend 2021 [US]
  • LEGO VIP Weekend 2021 [AU]
  • LEGO VIP Weekend 2021 [UK]
  • LEGO VIP Weekend 2021 [DE]
  • LEGO VIP Weekend 2021 [CA]

These offers all stack, so you’ll be able to claim multiple rewards at once, so start planning your wishlist!

Retro LEGO logo Tin Sign GWP

This is a pretty neat piece of memorabilia that will make of retro LEGO stuff happy. This retro tin sign, with the LEGO logo that was in use from 1939-1949 has the most expensive purchase threshold (US$250 / AU$309 / £250), but is probably the most unique item offered in a while.

Update: the retro LEGO logo tin sign’s redemption period has been extended till 25 November.

It sure beats last year’s Teal VIP Brick!

40484 Santa’s Front Yard GWP

This year’s Christmas-themed GWP is 40484 Santa’s Front Yard (revealed last week), which will be yours with purchases of US$170 / AU$229 / £170 or more. It’s a very snazzy vignette, and would not look out of place in your LEGO Winter Village, or alongside the Santa’s Visit set.

Buildable Vintage camera VIP reward

Are you into 35mm film cameras? Redeemable for 2,000 VIP points is this buildable vintage camera, which looks like a fun little build, with no exclusive parts.

It’s no Ulysses Space Probe, but think of it as a fun little bonus build if you have VIP points to spare.

VIP Sweepstake: win a 55cm tall Bonsai Tree

For those in Europe, and North America, you’ll get your hands at gambling your VIP points for the chance at winning this LEGO Bonsai Tree sculpture.

Don’t mistake this for 10280 Bonsai Tree, as this is a pretty substantial model – measuring over 55cm tall!

Unfortunately for us Australians, we never really get a shot at VIP Sweepstakes, possibly due to local gambling laws.

Hope you found this guide to LEGO’s 2021 VIP Weekend useful, and start planning your purchases, for the gift with purchase you want!

I wasn’t going to get anything, but the Retro LEGO Tin Logo came out of nowhere, so I’ll have to think of a way to get my hands on it as it’s such a cool piece of memorabilia.

It’s definitely a huge step up from 2020’s VIP Weekend in terms of offerings, and should really tide you over if you need to finish your Christmas LEGO shopping, or round up any 2021 purchases you might have missed out on!

Don’t forget, there’s also the LEGO UCS AT-AT looming menacingly over the horizon, which launches the following week, on Black Friday, 26 November 2021.

Will you be ordering anything over VIP Weekend? Let me know which promotions or GWPs catch your eye in the comments!

    Hi Jay,
I also like the retro Lego sign. Alas my Titanic arrived today, and that’s it for spending this season, so I’m hoping the sign will also be available through points or some such.

Nice one scoring the Titanic! Hope you enjoy the build – what a cracking way to end the year!

Unfortunately, I doubt the sign will be available for points redemptions 🙁

Hi, so if there’s a new GWP for black weekend, I need to make a purchase before to get Charles Dickens? Or will you get 2 GWPs (or 3 if you reach limit for the lego sign)?

The set 40484 Santa’s Front Yard will be the gwp on both VIP Weekend and Black Friday. If you want a different gwp, there should be a new one on December 1.

If you spend enough you will get both the Santa’s Front Yard gwp and the Tin Sign gwp at once in a single order during VIP Weekend. I do not know what you mean by “3 GWPs”, there are only two gwps listed right now.

Not too sure if there’ll be one outside of the Lightsaber that comes with the UCS AT-AT. Chances are pretty high that there’ll be one more, but I haven’t heard anything solid yet.

All GWP offers can stack, so you can get all if you’re lucky!

Does discounted vip rewards mean the points will be worth more money when traded in or does it mean the drawings, avatars, etc will cost less points? Or maybe both? I’m wondering if I should wait to trade in vip points for discount codes.

Discounted VIP rewards means VIP rewards cost fewer VIP points. If it’s like last year this will not include discount codes during VIP weekend, but there may be a couple of codes offered at half price during specific days on Black Friday weekend which you can only buy one of each.

Thanks Ed! Just to add, it’s likely LEGO trying to clear their inventory of unpopular VIP rewards.

Did you know that Fiona, the @lego Friends florist Did you know that Fiona, the @lego Friends florist is one of the first minidolls depicted with Down Syndrome?

Fiona works at the flower stall on Unity Street from 41732 Friends Downtown Flower and Design Stores

She is described as being 'good at crafts and decorating, and knows all the flower species by name.'

It's World Down Syndrome Day today and I think it's remarkable and very important for LEGO to enhance the perspectives of children on neurodiversity, physical disabilities, ethnicity and mental health, as they've done with the LEGO Friends reboot.

Here's my review of one of the most anticipate @LE Here's my review of one of the most anticipate @LEGO Disney sets - 43217 'Up' House ahead of its release on 1 April 2023!

This set is a dream come true for many Pixar fans, and we finally get a cute, compact and great looking Up House.

It has plenty of references to the movie, and Carl's everlasting love of Ellie, his late-wife which will absolutely delight fans.

Despite a strong lineup of minifigures (including an awesome Dug mould), the set's incredibly expensive pricetag (US$59.99/AU$89.99) doesn't feel like good value, especially with Kevin nowhere to be found.

Here's a look at 40587 Easter Basket, an incredibl Here's a look at 40587 Easter Basket, an incredibly affordable and attainable GWP that's available from 16 March!

It will be a GWP when you spend US$70 / €70 / £65 from 16 March - 9 April.

Lots of things to like here, as the design is cute, and the build is surprisingly technical, and it blends both Botanical and Animal construction.

Also like that the redemption period stretches into April, so if you have the Indiana Jones, Disney 100, or Guardians of the Galaxy sets on your radar, it should be an easy one to qualify for!

Such a breath of fresh air to get such a substantial GWP without having to spend hundreds of dollars. More like this please, LEGO!
