After the launch of LEGO 10302 Optimus Prime this month, one of the hyped up LEGO releases ever, fans are starting to build and enjoy their LEGO Optimus Primes.
If you’ve read my Optimus Prime review or were lucky enough to build the set, you’ll know that Optimus Prime, much like the G1 Toy version doesn’t come with his trailer – thankfully, not a problem with LEGO!

Enter hachiroku24, an incredibly talented LEGO Youtuber and MOCer – you may have seen his designs on Youtube or Instagram.
To fill the gap in the market, he’s designed an awesome and very accurate looking trailer for your LEGO Optimus Prime.

And yes, the trailer which is also known as the Combat Deck opens up as well, revealing the “artillery robot” complete with clawed arms.

And here’s Optimus Prime in robot mode next to the trailer.
Unfortunately, there aren’t any instructions for the LEGO Optimus Prime Trailer MOC (my own creation), but you can easily follow the steps and watch how it’s made in hachiroku’s video tutorial on Youtube.

This is without a doubt, one of the best-looking LEGO Optimus Prime trailer MOCs so far – I’d totally buy one of these to add on to my own Optimus Prime!
Special thanks to hachiroku24 for permission to share these photos! Be sure to check out his Instagram or Youtube channel for more of his incredible creations.

In case you missed it, check out my review of 10302 Optimus Prime. It’s also surprisingly still available for purchase on LEGO.com, although it’s temporarily out of stock in Australia!

DO YOU STILL HAVE THE LEGO OPTIMUS PRIME TRAILER BUILDING KIT?
do they have instructions on how to build them
Hey everyone found this set of instructions and a parts list online and wanted to share the link as a it seems lot of you were looking for this – https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-114409/rustywd/optimus-prime-trailer-for-use-with-10302-optimus-prime/#details
Thank you Andy, you are an absolute star! I’ve bought the Optimus Prime set and was just waiting for someone to find a set of instructions and a parts list for the trailer. I reckon a few hours spent listening to CD albums ordering all the bits through pick-a-brick will soon enable me to build the Complete Optimus Prime!
As EVERYONE else has been asking… Parts list? Pretty please with energon on top?
The G1 toy did come with a trailer, that’s what the Lego build you’re talking about is modeled after. All the 80’s, G1 and G2, versions of Prime came with a trailer. It’s the more modern, Masterpiece line of figures that sometimes don’t include it.
Ah, I confused it with the reissue version and masterpiece versions!
How might I get a parts list? I bought this for my grandson and would love to add this trailer.
How can I get a list of parts?
Are we just not going to discuss Bumblebee being in the trailor? ๐
I too remember it coming with a trailer. Even the Lego designer was interviewed and he said he even sketched a Lego trailer to go with Optimus, but the piece count was already large enough to the point adding the trailer would make it too expensive and possible detract from the star himself, Optimus.
Do you have a parts list?
A parts list, pretty please with Energon on top?
How much will it cost to build and where can you get the pieces to build it. Do not believe that a lego store will have all the pieces. I just git optimus prime today and have it half built.
Love to be able to have a trailer fir it.
Can someone provide the list of bricks needed pls…
A full set of instructions and a parts list that would allow us to make a Pick-a- Brick purchase would be very welcome, if any other AFOLs out there could oblige?
Amen!
I’m not sure how old you are but I remember the Christmas I got Optimus, Megatron and Sound wave. Optimus definitely came with a trailer.
It depends on the version, but the very first G1 Optimus Prime (the OG) definitely didn’t come with the trailer – that was the base model that LEGO used as the inspiration for the LEGO set – hence no trailer.
I remember 1984 clearly, and one of my friends had the original Optimus Prime, so I can confirm that it definitely came with a trailer. Here’s a link as proof: https://www.transformerland.com/wiki/toy-info/transformers-g1-leaders-optimus-prime/158/
Anyway, I get the reason would have been because it would have been a very expensive set with more than double the number of parts, and that’s perfectly understandable.
