LEGO 10290 Pickup Truck revealed!

July 1, 2021 By Jay 12 Comments

So this is probably an accidental reveal… but LEGO.com have given us our first look at 10290 Pickup Truck, a charming and whimsical vintage pickup truck!

This 1677 piece truck is now available for pre-order on LEGO.com for US$129.99 / AU$199.99, ahead of a 1 October 2021 release date, just in time for the holiday season.

The set is part of LEGO For Adults theme – which is the new name for Creator Expert/18+ sets.

  • LEGO 10290 Pickup Truck [US] – US$129.99
  • LEGO 10290 Pickup Truck [AUS] – AU$199.99
  • LEGO 10290 Pickup Truck [UK] – £TBC
  • LEGO 10290 Pickup Truck [EU] – €TBC
  • LEGO 10290 Pickup Truck [CAN] – CA$169.99

The truck measures over 5.5 in. (14 cm) high, 13 in. (33 cm) long and 5.5 in. (14 cm) wide and is based on a vintage 1950s era farm pickup truck

This truck is hard at work all year round, delivering produce from Green Farm and you can create a seasonal display with the many accessories included.

There’s a wheelbarrow with flowers and a watering can for spring. For summer there are 2 wooden crates, tomatoes, carrots and a milk bucket. Autumn brings a crate of pumpkins, while for winter there is a wreath and a festive gift.

Explore the model to discover its many realistic pickup truck features like a stepside bed, opening doors and tailgate and removable wooden side railings.

Fresh from the farm! Discover lots of seasonal accessories including a wheelbarrow and watering can, vegetables and a milk bucket, a crate of pumpkins, plus a festive wreath and gift.

Steer the truck then open the doors to inspect the interior. The bonnet also opens to reveal the engine.

Check out more lifestyle photos below:

I’m loving the charm and rustic nature of this set, and can see this being a really popular model come Christmas-time, and I love that you can attach a Christmas wreath at the front to amp up the holiday vibes it gives off.

Also, that this is I believe LEGO’s first non-IP Creator Expert-scale vehicle in the series, which is super fascinating!

What do you think of 10290 Pickup Truck?

I love the 10290 pick up truck. The concept of a Farm truck with produce is excellent. It would look great alongside my VW Camper Van and other vehicles.

This is so clearly “Big Red”, the Hallmark holiday movie truck, complete with accessories seen in the Hallmark Channel movies. Cannot wait to build! Perfect mother-son set!!!

I just preordered this set today, with the gift card my kids gave me for Father’s Day. Order confirmed, little Adidas shoe included as gift;… but then after the confirmation email I get another email. Sorry, this item is on Backorder and will ship later than expected.

How Lego ?…. If the set is to be released at 10/01, is it possible for you guys to run out already ?

But I’m looking forward to it. Release at 10/01, Backordered, maybe I’ll get to build it around my birthday early December then I’m hoping ?…

Pre-order only for the US store? Once again Australia misses out and will have to fight to beat the “sold out” sign on October 1st.

I think this will be fairly easy to get your hands on here.

LEGO Australia has struggled with pre-orders, so I think that’s why they’ve disabled it.

Bit too cartoony and not authentic enough for me to buy. I loved the more genuine one in Lego Ideas – it was a beautiful design and looked a lot mor realistic than this one. To me cab on this one looks a bit out of scale – 1 brick too high IMO.
If I saw it at 30-40 percent off I’d maybe grab it for the crimson parts but I would not pay full retail for this.

Fair enough! Looks like it’ll be quite easy to mod, but yeah, the elements are super generous if you’re after that particular shade.

Thanks for the heads up. Just purchased via your link. I had a ban on buying any LEGO because my budget has been crushed lately with all of these great sets, but couldn’t pass this one up, especially with the nice Adidas promo. Cheers.

Oh thank you so much! Hope you enjoy the set, and it’s a really nice bonus that GWPs work with pre-orders!

I’m very excited about this one, and it’s a really nice colour to display with the other Creator Expert cars!
