LEGO’s online store has just revealed a bunch of new sets, the first of which is 40521 Mini Disney The Haunted Mansion, a scaled down version of the iconic Disneyland attraction.
This 680-piece set will retail for US$39.99 and has a release date of 1 August 2022, and will be available from LEGO.com
It’s a great addition to last year’s 40478 Mini Disney Castle, and it now looks like LEGO is on a path to give us mini versions of classic Disneyland rides, and attractions – here’s hoping we get Splash Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean, and The Jungle Cruise in subsequent years!
See below for regional pricing and links:
- 40521 Mini Disney The Haunted Mansion [US] – US$39.99
- 40521 Mini Disney The Haunted Mansion [AUS] – AU$TBD
- 40521 Mini Disney The Haunted Mansion [UK] – £34.99
- 40521 Mini Disney The Haunted Mansion [EU] – €34.99
- 40521 Mini Disney The Haunted Mansion [CA] – CAD$54.99
It’s a tidy little set, and also includes an exclusive Butler minifigure. The details are captured really nicely at this scale, and like the Mini Disney Castle, it also comes with a flat black base.
The model’s dimensions are 14 cm (5 in.) high, 12 cm (4 in.) wide and 12 cm (4 in.) deep.
Over on the back, the details really shine, with some of the most recognisable parts of the Haunted Mansion on show such asthe dining room, a chandelier and a gallery.
There are also stickers featuringpaintings of the Hitchhiking Ghosts, Madame Leota and the Gravekeeper.
I think fans of Disneyland and Disney Parks are going to love this set – it’s not as visually impressive as the Mini Disney Castle, but now that we have 2 rides of this scale, it makes me look forward to many more in this tidy little sub-theme.
What do you think of the Mini Haunted Mansion? What Disneyland ride would you like to see next in this series?

Any reason why we can’t see this on the Australian LEGO store yet? And the LEGO store?
Jay says
Not too sure. My guess is that the team responsible for loading it up hasn’t quite done it yet, OR there may be some delays to the set locally.

Any word if they’ll make a Walt Disney World Haunted Mansion?
Jay says
I think if this set does well, the chances are high, BUT… I’d imagine they’d want to focus on other iconic rides/attractions like Splash Mountain before doing another Haunted Mansion variant, as cool as the Disney World one is.
