LEGO emails are currently going out with a tease of the next LEGO Ideas set, which happens to be a Gift with Purchase.
In the latest LEGO Newsletter, you’ll get an official glimpse of LEGO 40533 Cosmic Cardboard Adventures, which will be free with orders of US$160/£160/AU$229 on LEGO.com, according to reports from other LEGO News sites.
Update (29/5): The promotion for this has been extended to 14 June 2022 in the US and Europe (it’s out of stock in Australia), which is great news as all the new June 2022 releases will qualify you for the set – while stocks last obviously.
The set is based off the design submitted to the LEGO Ideas , Adventures of the USS Cardboard by Bulldoozer which was the winner of the Out of This World Space Builds contest.
There’s so much to love about this GWP, especially if you’re a Classic Space fan. I love the cardboard helmet, hand-drawn flag with 493 Space Command Center illustrated on it, as well as the Teddy Bear Exo Suit!
This is likely LEGO’s final hurrah until the June 2022 releases arrive, as I doubt they’ll offer this when the new releases hit LEGO.com!

I was a little confused as the email made it sound like it’s a GWP already. But the site is having technical difficulties (for me anyway) so I’ll just sit and wait.
This set originally didn’t appeal much to me – but that flag could be a game changer. It’s so hard being a space nerd.
