Ahead of the debut of the new Disney+ limited series Obi-Wan Kenobi on 27 May, we’ve got an advanced look at a new Star Wars Brickheadz – 40547 Obi-Wan Kenobi & Darth Vader courtesy of the LEGO instructions portal.
UPDATE: Check out my review of 40547 Obi-Wan Kenobi & Darth Vader!
Instructions for the Brickheadz were uploaded ahead of its early release at Star Wars Celebrations, which is running now in Anaheim – where lucky attendees can enter a lottery/raffle to win the opportunity to have early access to this double pack Brickheadz.
40547 Obi-Wan Kenobi & Darth Vader Brickheadz has now officially been unveiled, and has a 1 August 2022 release date.
Update: You’ll be able to pre-order 40547 Obi-Wan Kenobi & Darth Vader Brickheadz online now for US$19.99 / AU$29.99 / £17.99
Here’s a closer look at the instruction booklets for a closer look at both Brickheadz. Obi Wan doesn’t seem to have any new or exclusive prints but fans will no doubt be excited about the printed tiles for Darth Vader’s body apparatus, belt and also mouthpiece.
Even the Curved 2 x 4 slope on his forehead is printed, making this a Brickheadz with one of the most printed elements ever, which is really welcome.
With Star Wars Celebrations kicking off, we should get an official reveal, and more photos of these 2 Brickheadz, as well as other LEGO Obi-Wan Kenobi sets soon, so watch this space!

I don’t think Obi-Wan has been given the Brickheadz treatment previously, but the new Darth Vader is a slight update on 41619. The main differences are the use of a red visor instead of 1×1 plain black round dots, both hands now point down and 1×1 cheese slopes added on shoulders, light saber switches from LH to RH, and some minor change in parts usage around mouth area.
But ever being the completionist, I’ll probably get this set!

Yeah. I noticed that the belt, helmet front and grill are all the same as 41619, which I happened to pick up second hand literally the other week. The chest panel piece looks to have been updated though – potentially from a 2×3 to a 2×2? And it protrudes now, which I guess it should, thinking about it.
Regardless, I think I’m with you that I’ll be getting the new one as well because it’s a really nice figure; the change from the round eyes to the red visor gives him a real sense of menace.
