LEGO 40565 Santa’s Workshop officially revealed as December gift with purchase (GWP)

The LEGO website has officially unveiled the December 2022 gift with purchase (GWP) – 40565 Santa’s Workshop, giving us a better look at the set, and its contents.

Thanks to an early review from Brickset, we also now have redemption and availability details. 40565 Santa’s Workshop will be a free gift with purchase when you spend over US$150 / AU$209 / £150 / €150 on LEGO.com, and will run from 1 – 24 December 2022 while stocks last.

I really like the extended availability throughout December, and this will be a great incentive especially if you have any last-minute LEGO shopping to do!

Here’s a look at the back of the box, and the interiors of a festive Santa’s Workshop. There are plenty of great details, and we also get a Santa minifigure (with dual-moulded legs) as well as a worker Elf.

At 329 pieces, it’s a decently-sized set, and the workshop is packed with presents and toys. LEGO have also managed to integrate a movable toy conveyor belt into it which is pretty clever.

Keep in mind that you can also combine the set with 40564 Winter Elves Scene, the November GWP to create a larger Elf-filled scene.

40565 Santa’s Workshop will available from 1-24 December from LEGO.com when you US$150 / £150 / €150 while stocks last.

I love GWP’s, but I’m extremely frustrated with the timing on the October, November, and December promos, including VIP weekend, Black Friday, etc.. I splurged in October to get all the fun Halloween ones and then again in November placed a large order to fill out Christmas gifting needs. Then I see these ones and check the timing; sure enough it doesn’t include the 25th, which is the release date of the Lunar New Year sets that are my next planned purchase. I’m just learning to be content with what I have and trying not to be too sad I keep missing out on some of these little sets.

Not sure where you are located, but Facebook Marketplace has a lot of people reselling the GWPs for $20-$30 after release (they get more expensive as time goes on). I’ve been picking them up there when I want them and don’t have a big purchase to coincide with it.

    Hello all,
Will this Santa GWP be available in Australia?

    • Jay says:

It will, but I don’t have details on the Australian pricing/threshold yet. Best to check just after midnight to confirm!

    • Andrew says:

Yes. Placed an order this morning and it was added. Threshold is $209. Also in Australia, the blanket is back and there are a couple of polybags on offer too – all up that’s four promos for a $279 spend, so not too bad at a time when discounts/offers tend to dry up.
