LEGO 40567 Forest Hideout gift with purchase availability, and 90 Years of Play offers revealed!

June 3, 2022 By Jay Ong 20 Comments

Thanks to a special LEGO 90th Anniversary US LEGO Catalogue, we now have confirmed details of the highly anticipated 40567 Forest Hideout, a remake of the classic 6054 Forestmen’s Hideout set which I just did a retro review of!

Update: To see more of the new 40567 Forest Hideout, be sure to check out my review!

The Forest Hideout gift with purchase (GWP) will be available from 15 – 22 June 2022, and will be free with purchases of US$150 / AU$209 or more from LEGO.com, or LEGO Stores.

Update: The 40567 Forest Hideout product page is finally live on LEGO.com, check out the official box art and images below!

Note: these are dates for the US. UK, Australia and EU dates should follow closely.

Here’s another better look at the set model.

We previously only had a grainy photo of the box, so it’s great to have clearer photos of the model, as well as confirmed dates so you can plan your purchases accordingly!

But that’s not all! To kick off LEGO’s 90th Anniversary Celebrations, there will also be a LEGO Logo Through the Years Poster, redeemable for 650 VIP points, and a LEGO Duck Lenticular Sticker for 500 VIP points.

Special thanks to Dakota for the heads up on this!

Oh man, the suspense is killing me. Are we (Australia) getting this, or are we getting Jane Goodall’d? What’s the qualifying spend, $229? $5000? Please put us out of our misery

Not 100% sure yet until it pops up on LEGO.com, but I’ll be the first to share once news is confirmed!

FYI- Anyone notice the Creationary travel set available using VIP points buried at the bottom of “For kids – show more” On the rewards page?
Has this been there since last year? I haven’t seen any posts on this in 11 months and found it on the 1st.

What do you think that number equates to in AUD? Hoping the Great Pyramid of Giza at $230 is enough for this.

The Cardboard Adventures was close to this, at US$160 and AUD$229, so at US$150 … AUD$220 has got to be ball park …
It’s so weird this isn’t released with the 90th anniversary castle set … maybe it will have multiple availability periods like the Vintage Taxi.
Lastly thanks for all the updates on this Jay.

There might also be several 90th anniversary GWPs in the works… Looking at what they did with the treatment of the logo, I can imagine a few other variations that celebrate LEGO’s heritage

I reckon sub-AU$200, but we’ll find out the threshold when it becomes public knowledge.

I hope this availability period is extended to July 1st so we can get it with the Disney Princess Castle (well, we’d have to add smaller sets to bump up our basket price to qualify) just like how the mid May GWP was extended into June so we could get it with Optimus Prime.

Yeah, plus each month we seem to get a “big launch”. I think gone are the days when we can expect nice GWPs on the 1st of the month, as LEGO continues to rely on FOMO/short supply of stock to drive hype around big launches.

I think it will depend on whether they made a lot of these, and if there’s little take-up, which is what I think happened with Cardboard Adventures, as people were just saving up for 1 June releases.

The branches on the updated Forestmen Hideout look really dumb. No longer interested, unfortunately.

I wonder if we’ll get this one on time, or if it’ll show up months later like Jane Goodall did… fingers crossed it arrives on time!

We somehow managed to get most of the June releases on time, so fingers crossed there aren’t any delays!

I’ll share details once they’re officially available!

Do preorders count towards GWPs? Wanted to get this set but there’s not any current sets I’m interested in

If you place the preorder during the period the gwp is available yes. The gwp will either seperate seperatly or with the pre-order. Risk is the may run out of stock of the gwp by the time they ship the order despite the gwp being allocated to you

Has that happened? Usually, GWPs get “reserved” for pre-orders, and any VIP rewards redeemed in that particular order usually get set aside.

Today is the 15th and final day of the Lunar New Y Today is the 15th and final day of the Lunar New Year, also known as Chap Goh Mei (15th night in the Hokkien dialect), Yuan Xiao Jie, Chinese Valentine's Day or the Lantern Festival! 🏮

It marks the end of the Lunar New Year celebrations, and is celebrated in a myriad of ways, such as eating tangyuan (glutinous rice balls) over dinner, and visiting temples to pray good fortune for the coming year.

The celebration was famously depicted in 80107 Spring Lantern Festival, designed by @justinramsden and released in 2020.

Here's my Classic Space take on Chap Goh Mei as we conclude the Lunar New Year festivities!

Happy Chap Goh Mei to everyone celebrating!

Mia is all grown up now! Here's a comparison of Mia is all grown up now!

Here's a comparison of Mia, from her very first minidoll on the left (from 3188 Heartlake Vet), to her last appearance as a teenager in 41717 Mia's Wildlife Rescue, and on the right, as an adult in 41730 Autumn's House!

She's now a mum to Autumn, and it's kinda surreal seeing her grow like this.

FYI: LEGO Friends had a bit of a redesign in 2018, which is why Mia's appearance changed slightly.

For my next @LEGO Friends review, here's a look at For my next @LEGO Friends review, here's a look at 41730 Autumn's House, which features Autumn and Mia's home, a delightfully rustic ranch-style home!

It blends the old and new, with Autumn and a now grown-up Mia, and amazingly, has kept the same US$69.99 price-point as all the other Friends main character houses.

Who knew that Friends character homes were inflation-proof?

Great value-packed set overall, and you can read my full review on the blog via link in bio!
