I don’t believe it renders the previous motorbike scale obsolete. Now, instead of of only 1 scale for quality technic motorcycles, we now have 2.
I do understand the point you’re making but I believe we’ve lost nothing and gained so so much with the introduction of this new motbike (and all the brand new parts that it’s brought along with it.

That looks so cool!! It’s a little bit pricey, but I reckon it might get marked down pretty heavily like the Ducati did, so happy to wait a year or two. 🙂

Love this set! Hope this is the beginning of a new line, like the 1:8 supercars. And I also like that this set it’s not so expensive as a supercar. Great time to be a Lego and motorbikes fan)
Steve Platt says
I would love one of these, but
a) it’s a bit expensive
and
b) why isn’t it the same size as the BMW GS1200 and the Ducati Panigale?

It looks like LEGO are scaling up their Technic bike offering – larger = more details they can squeeze in, as well as push up the price.
It’s a shame, as it does render the previous bikes a little obsolete.

I just bought this. The moment my eyes caught sight of it, I realised I couldn’t walk out of the store without it. Usually with big purchases, there’s a conflict in my brain. Not this time.
Although it’s clearly at a new scale to previous bikes and any oth vehicles, it’s such a masterpiece that I could not walk past. With its huge list of brand new parts. I didn’t even have a choice really 😉

This is pretty sick, although I wish we’d get BMW M cars as opposed to bikes.
