LEGO 75095 UCS Tie Fighter Australian Price and Release Date

February 18, 2015 By Jay 5 Comments

LEGO 75095 UCS Tie Fighter Box Art

I’m not the most ardent LEGO Star Wars collector, but I do have a soft spot for Original Trilogy builds and vehicles so I’m pretty happy that LEGO officially announced the Ultimate Collector Series Tie Fighter at the recent New York Toy Fair.

I’ve been incessantly checking LEGO.com for updates on the Marvel UCS Helicarrier which I’m dead set on buying and chanced upon a sneaky listing of the 75095 UCS Tie Fighter together with the Australian release date and price.

LEGO UCS Tie Fighter Listing

The UCS Tie Fighter will cost you $299.99 and it will be available online on 2 May 2015. No word on a VIP presale, but I would be surprised if there wasn’t one. It’s a bit of a waste that LEGO didn’t pick May the 4th as the release date.

The UCS Tie Fighter weighs in at 1685 pieces, which is a little low in my opinion for a UCS set. I’ve never owned a UCS Star Wars set ever, so I highly doubt I will be making my start here.

To find out more, be sure to catch this hilarious designer video from LEGO. This is probably one of my favourite designer videos, I really love the candid and slightly awkward back and forth as they discuss the finer details of the UCS Tie Fighter.

Is this on your to-buy list or are you going to give it a miss like I am?

I actually thought I was really going to like this….but…I think the box art is the best bit, except the little Disney trademark (yuk) !

I agree the Slave 1 is way cooler, has more pieces and the same price so if I was going to get a Star Wars UCS it most likely wouldn’t be this one.

Agreed! TIE Fighters are cool and all, but the UCS version doesn’t seem quite like an enhancement over sets like 9492 other than it being a little larger.

This is glorious, but WAY TOO EXPENSIVE for me. Besides, I don’t think my dad will be happy if I get this because he walks on a lot of LEGO pieces every now and then because some bricks are left on the floor.

Yeah, I think it’s a little pricey. If I were going to buy a UCS Star Wars, I’d get the Slave 1 over this any day.
