This is the way… LEGO finally bankrupts you. In between the flurry of Winter Village news yesterday, LEGO also dropped the reveal of 75318 The Child, or Baby Yoda as he is better known amongst fans of The Mandalorian.
With a release date of 30 October, which is also coincidentally, when Season 2 of The Mandalorian drops on Disney+, this is the perfect brick-built companion for fans of the TV show, which is the best Star Wars media since Rogue One.
Priced at US$79.99 / AU$119.99, the set is currently available to pre-order on LEGO.com everywhere else in the world but Australia.
See below for regional pricing and links:
- LEGO 75318 The Child [US] – US$79.99
- LEGO 75318 The Child [AUS] – AU$119.99
- LEGO 75318 The Child [UK] – £69.99
- LEGO 75318 The Child [EU] – €77.97
- LEGO 75318 The Child [CAN] – CA$99.99
It’s a little frustrating that pre-orders aren’t available in Australia, especially if demand goes through the roof, but from experience, I didn’t really have a good experience with pre-ordering from LEGO Australia.
I cancelled my Razor Crest pre-order because I was afraid it would take too long to ship, and just strolled down to my local Kmart up to pick it up.
Here’s a look at the box images.
Measuring just under 20cm (7.8 inches) in height and weighing in at 1,073 pieces, this is such a cute display piece that’s perfect if you already have the Yoda Statue.
The set also comes with an adorable Baby Yoda minifigure, and a UCS Plaque, which is a little light on the details on the origins and species of Baby Yoda.
If you’re a Mandalorian fan, this set is a no-brainer, and would be a great piece with long-lasting display potential.
LEGO 75318 The Child goes on sale on LEGO.com on 30 October 2020, with pre-orders open now, so don’t hesitate to secure your set if you have some cash to splash!
This is the way!
Let me know your thoughts on LEGO Baby Yoda, and if you’ll be pre-ordering it!

I have the full-scale Yoda, and would love to get this one. Also, I haven’t gotten Trouble on Tattooine or The Razor Crest, so I’m really in for the baby Yoda microfigure/Lego Games piece. Would you classify them as UCS sets? I mean, they have the plaque, but many people put them in another category. Do you? NoBricksOnMe out! PS: I’m not a frequent watcher of the Mandolorian, so what is that ball he’s holding?

I wouldn’t classify them as UCS sets per se – they belong in their own subtheme – Star Wars sculptures?
The ball is a metal sphere from the Razor Crest that Baby Yoda/Grogu is attracted to, like a toy and is something that he and Mando bond over.
