LEGO 75342 Republic Fighter Tank with 187th Legion Clone Troopers now available for pre-order!

The 10300 Back to the Future Time Machine isn’t the only new set launching today! After a sneak peek earlier this week, the official product page and pricing for the 75342 Republic Fighter Tank is now available on LEGO.com.

It’s another new addition to the April 2022 release slate, and the set is now available for pre-order ahead of a 26 April 2022 release.

Here’s the regional set and pricing details:

This is a great looking playset, if a little pricey, but I’m absolutely in love with Mace Windu, who has his Jedi armour on, including on his wrists.

The addition of the LEGO 187th Legion Clone Troopers are also excellent, and this overall feels like a successor to the 501st Clone Troopers from 2020, if a little pricey.

I’ll be excited to pick this one up, but maybe not at full price, and it seems to be an awesome army builder, with lots of playability!

I like it and I like the idea, but it feels kind of confused.

The 501st Battle Pack (finally, finally on back order on the Aussie site -(ordered some)- for two days prior to being back out of stock) had a small build and was really about the mini figures – it really was a battle pack – allowing people to build an army (cough, Australia, cough).

This looks like a mix between a battle pack – 6 figures – and a single purchase pack with the inclusion of Mace (if it is designed as a single purchase set, then the tank is nice but quite basic for this type of set). Don’t gt me wrong, Mace looks fantastic, I just don’t want 6. Since we have never seen these clone figures before and probably will not again, SW fans who like army building will want a few and this will make it a very expensive set for them.

So again, it feels like a confused set. I will get one, maybe two, at a discount.
