Ever dreamt of having different colour options to choose from when buying LEGO sets? That dream is now closer to a possibility, as LEGO have just revealed a pilot program in the United Kingdom allowing fans and consumers to choose different colour variants, and sizes of sets.
Remember that Blue Creator Expert Fiat 500 that was teased a few weeks back, it’s now available to order on LEGO.com along with 3 other sets – a Blue and Brown version of 31058 Mighty Dinosaurs, as well as 2 LEGO City Fire Station options – a starter and headquarters.
This is a very limited run pilot, and the sets will only be available until 30 November 2021!
The pilot has been designed to help LEGO gain a better understanding of their fans want from their portfolio and where they prefer to shop for new or unique products.
The bad news is that this pilot is being run exclusively in the UK as we were told that it was the most representative LEGO markets that had a diverse segment of consumers.
Good news is that, the Blue Creator Expert Fiat 500 is available from Zavvi and IWOOT, who ship internationally, so you won’t miss out on the Fiat if you live outside the UK.
Check out this table below for the LEGO Colour Variant Retailer Availability to find out where you can find these sets.

There is nothing special about this. So many other brands have done similar things
Jay says
It’s special for LEGO as their manufacturing processes are usually quite rigid, so I’m keen to see how they adapt to this.
