LEGO CON 2022: Guide, and set reveals you can expect!

Just a heads up that LEGO CON 2022 will be streaming live on Saturday, 18 June 2022, and is billed as Bigger, better, and brickier!

Last year’s LEGO CON wasn’t exactly beloved by fans, but this year, it looks like LEGO are determined to right the wrong, with a huge schedule and reveal slate, featuring a variety of themes.

Where to stream LEGO CON?

• You’ll be able to stream LEGO CON on Youtube or via LEGO.com. I recommend streaming on Youtube, which should be the least problematic, tech-wise.

When is LEGO CON 2022 streaming?

• London – 5pm BST
• New York – 12pm ET
• Los Angeles – 9am PT
• Melbourne/Sydney – 2am AEST (19 June 2022)

How long will LEGO CON run for?

• The stream will run for 2 hours

Important note: LEGO CON is primarily aimed at families, and younger kids. That’s not to say that there won’t be stuff that gets us adults excited, but it’s designed as a variety show.

So if like last year, if some parts are too corny, or if the reveals aren’t up to your expectations, do keep in mind that the main audience is kids, but I think the LEGO CON team have taken onboard all the feedback from last year about not having any substantial reveals, and will have some juicy stuff for adult fans too, judging by the Sanctum Sanctorum reveal, and hopefully more!

I will be publishing news and reveals as they get announced during LEGO, including hi-res images of the sets, box art, and pricing where it becomes available.

Here’s a rundown of what we can expect from LEGO CON.

First up, the hosts are Vick Hope, a British presenter, who will be joined by Joel McHale (best known as Jeff Winger Community), and Melvin Odoom who returns after hosting LEGO CON 2021.

• A new theme launch: very likely to be Avatar
• LEGO 90th Anniversary Surprises: hopefully, they’ll reveal the 90th anniversary fan vote winner and set
• LEGO Super Mario: First look at Series 5 Character Packs
• Disney Pixar Lightyear: Creative Masterclass with a Pixar animation director (likely Angus Maclane)
• Live LEGO Masters Challenge from contestants across the globe
• New LEGO Marvel Reveal: Likely the new Sanctum Sanctorum
• Star Wars Behind the Scenes Access: Designer interviews. Hopefully some new unseen reveals!
• Ninjago Getting Ready for a grand finale: My guess is – they’re going to hard reboot Ninjago
• LEGO Harry Potter Warner Bros Studio Tour: Evanna Lynch (who plays Luna Lovegood) will be appearing. Hopefully we get a D2C Harry Potter reveal!
• LEGO Friends Sneak Peek at upcoming Adventures: New TV show content maybe?
• Minecraft & LEGO Collab: Hopefully some new sets, and maybe in-game skins/DLC?

Let’s just say, you’re not going to want to miss the show this year as there will be a LOT of awesome reveals, that doesn’t seem to have leaked yet. Fingers cross it stays that way for the next 24 or so hours!
