Christmas is here before you know it, and to help edge us into the Holiday season – LEGO is bringing back one of their most popular deal – Double VIP points on all LEGO.com purchases from 8 – 20 October worldwide.
So the question is, what do you buy?
If you’re in the United States or United Kingdom, you’re in luck as most exclusive sets such as the newly released Elf Club House, Diagon Alley and Mos Eisley Cantina are still in stock.
With Halloween coming up, the it’s also a great time to order the Haunted House (read my review to see what I thought).
Unfortunately, for those of us in Australia, our list of in-stock exclusives is very, very sad, with a lot of highly popular sets like the NES, Ideas Grand Piano and Treehouse sold out, despite the recent restock.
Hopefully they restock in the next few days during the double VIP period, but knowing LEGO Australia’s supply issues, I wouldn’t be counting on it.
Be sure to check out the Retiring Soon category, and if you really want to get something, maybe consider the Assembly Square which is widely tipped to be the next modular to retire as it’ll turn 5 next year.
That said, for those of you itching to take advantage of the Double VIP sale, there are a number of new seasonal exclusives that you can also pickup like the festive Christmas Wreath.
- LEGO 40426 Christmas Wreath 2-in-1 [US] – $34.99
- LEGO 40426 Christmas Wreath 2-in-1 [AU] – $54.99
- LEGO 40426 Christmas Wreath 2-in-1 [UK] – £30.99
In addition to that, there’s also a new Nutcracker Brickheadz for all 5 of you Brickheadz fans.
- LEGO 40425 Nutcracker Brickheadz [US] – $9.99
- LEGO 40425 Nutcracker Brickheadz [AU] – $15.99
- LEGO 40425 Nutcracker Brickheadz [UK] – £9.99
For a quick and easy Halloween build, don’t forget the new Frankenstein (‘s Monster) Brickheadz.
- LEGO 40422 Frankenstein Brickheadz [US] – $9.99
- LEGO 40422 Frankenstein Brickheadz [AU] – $15.99
- LEGO 40422 Frankenstein Brickheadz [UK] – £9.99
Lastly, there’s also the new 40423 Halloween Hayride and 40424 Winter Snowball Fight.
Now hopefully, we’ll also get some new GWPs (like the Charles Dickens Tribute) soon, so unless you absolutely need something now, I think it’s safe to wait and see if they both overlap with each other. Unfortunately, there are no dates that have been confirmed yet,.
Let me know in the comments if you’ll be picking anything up!

Too late for me too as I already purchased the Elf Club House and Christmas Wreath. Hopefully something new will launch before the 20th.

There’s a few more large releases coming up by the end of the month, or in November, which is sadly after the VIP double points period 🙁
Deb says
I ordered the wreath and ornaments today. I really want Diagon Alley but it’s too much money for me… 🙁
Jay says
Nice! I’m waiting on a nice gift with purchase for the wreath, and desperately hoping it doesn’t go out of stock before then.
Andrew says
I bought the new Christmas sets last week thinking that they too would disappear immediately, so there’s absolutely nothing on my wishlist that is currently in stock. Would love to get double points and/or the Dickens GWP, but I’m now wishing we would go back to the old Lego online model where the stuff came from Europe. Happy to wait the 2-3 weeks if it meant things would actually be in stock :(.
Jay says
Yeah, it’s really nice to see the Elf Clubhouse still in stock, but I expect it to get depleted as we edge closer to Christmas. I’ve heard Dickens coming from 1 November onwards.
Yeah, the Europe model was nice, but I shudder to think how much LEGO was losing over postage. Imagine shipping a Hogwarts/Diagon-Alley-sized box all the way from Europe to Australia.
