LEGO Ideas 21336 The Office set revealed with pre-orders open!

LEGO have officially revealed the next LEGO Ideas set 21336 The Office, a set packed with 15 (!!) of your favourite characters from the hit TV series The Office. Everyone’s here, from Michael Scott, to Kevin Malone to Toby from HR..

The LEGO Ideas The Office set will be released on 1 October 2022, and can be pre-ordered now from LEGO.com. It will retail for US$119.99 in the US and AU$179.99 in Australia. See below for regional pricing and pre-order links

If you’re pre-ordering The Office, please consider using these affiliate links as I may receive a small commission with each purchase, that helps support the running costs of this blog!

The set is packed with 15 minifigures, which was bound to be the biggest draw of the set: Michael Scott, Dwight Schrute, Jim Halpert, Pam Beesly, Ryan Howard, Angela Martin, Oscar Martinez, Kevin Malone, Stanley Hudson, Kelly Kapoor, Phyllis Lapin Vance, Meredith Palmer, Creed Bratton, Toby Flenderson and Darryl Philbin, plus a LEGO figure of Angela’s cat Garbage.

As an added bonus, 12 of the minifigures have dual-sided faces, and I can’t wait to see all their expressions!

As a massive fan of The Office, I’m absolutely delighted that they managed to squeeze nearly every important character in, and 15 characters in a US$120 set is nothing to sneeze at.

That said, the lineup is missing a few of the “newer” core characters like Andy Bernard and Erin Hannon – I guess LEGO wanted to keep it with the OG cast.

The Dunder Mifflin office has been lovingly re-created, so all your favourite spots are here, from the office floor, to the conference room, as well as Michael Scott’s office (which slides out for display on its own).

With so many characters, you can create so many possibilities with re-enacting your favourite scenes and moments from the TV series, such as kindling Pam and Jim’s office romance.

Kevin spilling his famous chilli!

Michael Scott realising he’s joined a pyramid scheme.

If you look behind the whiteboard, you can also see the DVD logo hitting the corner as well!

And of course the many times Michael hosts people in his office.

It’s quite a large set too, measuring over 3 in. (7 cm) high, 12 in. (30 cm) wide and 10 in. (25 cm) deep, and looks fantastic on display alongside the other TV series sets, or on its own.

LEGO have an absolutely smash hit on their hands, and I can’t believe they’ve managed to price it so competitively at US$119.99. This is going to sell like absolute hotcakes, so if you want to secure a copy, I highly recommend pre-ordering on LEGO.com

What do you think of The Office? Does this meet the astronomical levels of hype there was for the set?

Pre-Order does not seem to be available in Canada! I’m checking daily, ha

  2. David says:

I didn’t see an option to preorder when I clicked the links, what am I missing?

  3. Patrick says:

They need a TV line and to take these out of ideas and let some original stuff through.

No one wants this but simpy normies.

    • Jay says:

Yeah, I agree, but it seems like they’re using the LEGO Ideas as a launchpad for these.

I disagree with no one wanting this – pre-order allocations closed in under 24 hours. A LOT of people want these.

  4. Beau says:

    No Nard Dog!?

  5. Anonymous McGee says:

It’s missing the kitchen and annex and they cut off the accounting section. Still a great set!

    • Jay says:

First course of action would be to build the break room and annex for sure. Doesn’t look like it’ll be too hard to expand!

  6. Nick says:

This sucks they completely removed half the office. Creed’s desk and the entire accounting area are completely missing

  7. RaeChel says:

I can’t seem to preorder in Ireland, which is a shame. That said, I’m so excited about this set, and I can’t believe the number of minifigs included! Amazing!

    • Jay says:

Pretty odd that pre-orders are global except for the UK and Europe. This is an Office fan’s dream come true, I can’t believe they actually managed to squeeze in 15 minifigures.

      • Håkan says:

Meybe the fans of the UK series consider the US remake a sacrilege. =D

(The UK series is fairly short, so I could recommend it to everyone who’s interested in the concept.)

And personally, I don’t care much for the series, itself, but the set contains a lot of good parts do to Marvel civilians, so maybe I can get some of the minifig parts separately, somehow…

        • Jay says:

I liked the UK series, but I enjoy Ricky Gervais/British humour in general, but it can’t be denied that the US is a proper cultural phenomenon. It’s pretty much the equivalent of Friends for the 00s generation, and arguably, has way more staying power and is more culturally relevant today.

What’s really cool is the civilian clothes like you said, but also non-yellow faces with normal/non-superhero/star wars faces which is a rarity!
