LEGO invites you into the world of Dreamzzz, teasing a new theme and series

LEGO have begun teasing a brand new series and theme, widely tipped to be LEGO Dreamzzz.

We first found out about Dreamzzz through a Trademark Application and a new Coming Soon page has been setup, inviting LEGO fans to enter a portal to the Dream World, so we can now put two and two together that both these things are related!

The portal isn’t set to open yet, and LEGO will reveal its secrets on 15 May, BUT there’s more to uncover about this exciting new theme.

Update: On Google, you can view the following episodes and descriptions for the first 6 episodes.

S1 E1 · Awakening – 19 May 2023

When Mateo’s comic creation Z-Blob follows him from a dream back to Brooklyn, Mateo and his sister realize the Dream World is real and in danger.

S1 E3 · Chased Dreamers – 27 May 2023

To craft their own hourglasses and become official Dream Chasers for the Night Bureau, Mateo and his friends must defeat the Dream Forge guardian.

S1 E4 · The Dream Forge – 28 May 2023

As time runs out to face the Dream Forge and become official Dream Chasers, Mateo and his friends enlist the help of the mysterious Dream Bandit.

S1 E5 · Peak Performance – 3 June 2023

The search for the Sandman leads Mateo and the others to the tallest mountain in the Dream World, but Lunia’s hourglass puts a target on their backs.

S1 E6 · The Anomaly

A surprise visit from the Chief Inspector of the Night Bureau forces Mateo to hide Z-Blob, who goes on an adventure in the heart of Brooklyn.

A blurry picture of an island floats behind the text, and when examining the source code of the page, the blurry image is named Realm 1, and there are references to a “Floating Realm” buried in the code.

Over on LEGO’s Youtube, the teaser continues, but with a Ninjago twist, suggesting that there is going to be some cross-over between the themes and series.

Four videos have just gone up, with Ninjago characters having peculiar, strange, wonderful and outrageous dreams, where bizarre fantastical things start to happen.

At the end of each teaser video, they make reference to a new LEGO Series coming soon, suggesting that there will be an animated component, likely in the same vein as LEGO Ninjago attached to LEGO Dreamzzz.

There is a LOT happening with these dream sequences that our Ninjago characters find themselves in, covering a wide variety of locales from a whimsical candy-land, to space, to an enchanted forest.

There’s a large blue bunny, flanked by a dragon, and some sort of Blob mech (there’s even the word Blob on his armour)!

Oh the blue bunny is also the same bunny that’s being cuddled by the girl in the Coming Soon page.

There’s Sensei Wu encountering a Tortoise/Volkswagen Beetle-like hybrid., greeted by an elderly lady who seems to be running a food truck from it.

There’s this insane-looking crocodile car, which appears in both Kai and Sensei Wu’s dream. This is SO going to be a LEGO set given its prominence in the teasers.

71766 Lloyd’s Legendary Dragon also makes an appearance, and with the LEGO Ninjago characters teasing, it may be that both themes are connected in a way. Maybe this ties into the newly unveiled Ninjago Dragons Rising theme?

Oh, and whatever this crystal chicken is.

Nya’s dream is much more whimsical, as she runs with a herd of these floral-like deer.

There are floating trees, and also some sort of large magical owl that inhabit this strange dreamscape.

Zane has a much more action-packed dream sequence, where he finds himself in some sort of space bus rocket ship that’s piloted by a sassy monkey.

The Bus Rocket Ship is flying through space and is chased by this terrifying Shark Pirate Airship thingy, and some sort of shadowy horse.

There looks to be a good blend of whimsical, odd, and fearsome themes at play, suggesting that Dreamzzz is going to be a really diverse theme with different styles and sets.

Really interesting, and with the cartoony visuals and connection to Ninjago, this is definitely a theme aimed at younger kids, and I can safely say that I have been sufficiently teased and excited, and I am really looking forward to 15 May when we get to see more of the Dream Portal!

Is this a Ninjago spin-off or is this a wholly original theme? I have so many questions!

What do you think of this LEGO Dreamzzz tease? Do you like what you see so far or as you just as confused as I am?
