UPDATE: LEGO have finally confirmed that the LEGO Jane Goodall Tribute GWP will be available directly from the Australian LEGO.com online store on 9-15 May.
So this has been quite the frustrating release – but the LEGO Jane Goodall Tribute GWP (gift with purchase) has finally been made available in Australia, at specific retail locations.
The GWP, which coincides with International Women’s Day 2022, and Women’s History Month honouring the great ethologist and primatologist Dr Jane Goodall is currently available worldwide on LEGO.com until the 15th of March 2022, but has been missing from the online LEGO Store in Australia.
That said, if you’ve been waiting to get the set in Australia, the set is finally available from the following retailers for free when you spend AU$169 or more.
- LEGO Certified Stores (online and in-store)
- Dreamworld LEGO Store (online and in-store)
- Legoland Discovery Centre Melbourne (in-store only)

It’s unsure whether the set will be made available online on the Australian LEGO.com, but it would be very surprising as it’ll make this the first big GWP to be dropped from Australia.
I’ve received conflicting information with one source saying that it won’t be available on LEGO.com, and another saying it will.
I think the absence can be partly explained by LEGO Australia’s warehouse upgrade/move, which is causing some delays with online orders, and my guess is that in the midst of the move, and delays of stock landing in the country, the GWP might’ve been caught up in all of this, and we might see it at a later date. Fingers crossed.
If you’ve been waiting on the Jane Goodall Tribute GWP, I recommend just shopping through the LEGO Certified Stores Network or the Dreamworld LEGO Store, unless you want to risk waiting for it to maybe appear on LEGO’s Online Store at a later date.

Still not on lego.com.au, not sure if its gonna happen…..(?)
Sold out online on Bricks Megastore now. Will have to wait for Lego’s site to get it.
Jay, do you know if the warehouse upgrade is at all related to migrating Bricks & Pieces into Pick a Brick? Your original article said it would be done for lego.com.au in late Feb, but we’re now in mid-March.
No, this is more of a change in where LEGO Online orders get fulfilled, moving from Sydney to Melbourne . LEGO are also switching from Toll to DHL as their domestic courier.
Pick a Brick/Bricks & Pieces are still fulfilled overseas, so no changes there for now!
Thanks Jay, appreciate the response!
Wonder when PAB/B&P will get merged for Australia then. I took a look at the UK site and it was great, so looking forward to Australia having the same.
Switching from Toll? Thank god for that
Yes, it’ll be DHL after this transition!
Pretty tight restrictions on the BricksMegaStore availability:
FREE LEGO® Jane Goodall Tribute Set when you spend $169.99 *Please note no longer available for shipping orders. Excludes clearance items.
* Not available for pickup at Broadway, Canberra, Charlestown Square, Highpoint Shopping Centre, Karrinyup, Westfield Chermside, Westfield Marion and Westfield Doncaster. or available for shipping
So I guess I’ll just give up and hope they one day release it on the lego.com.au site.
And looks like its already gone from the Dreamworld store website too.
That’s weird. I was in the Canberra store at 4pm yesterday and there were quite a few on the counter for walk-ins. I’d done pick up, so mine was out the back.
Ah, maybe they’re trying to force people to go in-store.
Bummer. Yeah, I hope they eventually show up online. Guess people were waiting out, and just depleted the LCS/Dreamworld online stock allocations.
Cheers for the heads up, Jay. I’ve ordered C&C from my local Lego Store (how long I’ve waited to be able to say that!!) so hopefully i’ll be able to pick it up this afternoon. I agree with the comments that it’s a little underwhelming, especially compared to Amelia Earhart, but I do enjoy collecting these.
