LEGO Luigi’s Mansion sets have just been announced!

October 31, 2021 By Jay Ong 2 Comments

What better way to announce LEGO Luigi’s Mansion than on Halloween! LEGO have sneakily dropped an announcement of Luigi’s Mansion sets, starring LEGO Luigi!

Three expansion levels and sets have been shown off, and it looks like you’ll need LEGO Luigi from LEGO 71387 Adventures with Luigi Starter to activate these.

Update: LEGO Mario is also compatible with the Luigi’s Mansion Expansion sets, so you DON’T have to get LEGO Luigi, thankfully. But it wouldn’t feel right, that’s for sure. Thanks Ed, for the heads up!

Three sets have been revealed as part of the wave:

  • 71401 Haunt and Seek Expansion Set (79,99 USD/EUR)
  • 71397 Lab and Poltergust Expansion Set (24,99 EUR/29,95 USD)
  • 71399 Entryway Expansion Set (39,99 USD/EUR)

These will be released on 1 January 2022!

LEGO Luigi looks to have gotten an upgrade, and is now in-charge of sucking up and collecting ghosts with his Poltergust, a vacuum cleaner specially designed for sucking up spirits and ghosts.

Very cool to see a brick-built version that will no doubt integrate well with the Luigi-figure.

Here are more photos of the LEGO Luigi’s Mansion sets

The Luigi’s Mansion games are terrific, and the latest installment on the Nintendo Switch – Luigi’s Mansion 3 is considered one of the best games on the Switch, and this should delight Nintendo and LEGO Mario fans who want to see Luigi in a leading role.

The sets are pretty neat, and if you’re familiar with the game, you’ll no doubt recognise Gold Ghosts, King Boo, and Bogmires which feature in the trailer.

I haven’t jumped on LEGO Luigi yet, but it looks like I’ll have to pick up a LEGO Luigi Starter Course soon…

LEGO Luigi’s Mansion Press Release

Discover new frightfully fun adventures with LEGO® Super Mario™ Luigi’s Mansion™ Sets

Billund, October 31, 2021: LEGO® Super Mario™ fans, rejoice! The LEGO Group has just announced its latest edition to the popular LEGO Super Mario universe; this time treating fans to three new Expansion Sets all wrapped in the iconic Nintendo series, Luigi’s Mansion™. Fans will be introduced to fun new features designed to inspire creative play, featuring fan favorites King Boo, Polterpup, Bogmire, Toad, Boo and many more charming characters from the Luigi’s Mansion series.

Use a LEGO® Luigi™ (or LEGO® Mario™) interactive figure from one of the Starter Courses to bring to life these new challenges that await, and brace for ghostly adventures that feature new immersive sounds and music, which is sure to add extra fun and interactivity. In the LEGO Super Mario Luigi’s Mansion Lab and Poltergust Expansion Set suit up with the Poltergust and attach a normal nozzle or the Strobulb accessory. Press the button to activate the Poltergust to catch the Gold Ghost and collect a coin reward from the machine in the lab. Don’t forget to have a chat with Professor E. Gadd and check out the potions, but be careful not to be poisoned or you will need the antidote!

Explore LEGO Super Mario Luigi’s Mansion Entryway Expansion Set and maneuver your way into the frightful mansion, where you’ll need to find a creative way to defeat Bogmire. Search for the Golden Bone to give to Polterpup, and watch out for Boo!

Within the LEGO Super Mario Luigi’s Mansion Haunt-and-Seek Expansion Set, players can create a gem-hunting, ghost-battling level with rotating hallways to explore. Uncover hidden gems throughout the set. And for the ultimate chilling experience, builders can connect all three new sets or build out their LEGO Luigi’s Mansion levels with other fun LEGO Super Mario sets and characters that will spark imagination and take their play experience to the next level.

All new sets come with their own series of unique challenges, giving fans a chance to dive into the world of LEGO Super Mario with a Luigi’s Mansion twist and role play new storylines and challenges to collect as many coins as possible!

These three new products will launch January 1, 2022 on www.LEGO.com and at select leading retailers around the world.

But “Mario’s Mansion” doesn’t really have the same ring to it…

Did you know that Fiona, the @lego Friends florist Did you know that Fiona, the @lego Friends florist is one of the first minidolls depicted with Down Syndrome?

Fiona works at the flower stall on Unity Street from 41732 Friends Downtown Flower and Design Stores

She is described as being 'good at crafts and decorating, and knows all the flower species by name.'

It's World Down Syndrome Day today and I think it's remarkable and very important for LEGO to enhance the perspectives of children on neurodiversity, physical disabilities, ethnicity and mental health, as they've done with the LEGO Friends reboot.

Here's my review of one of the most anticipate @LE Here's my review of one of the most anticipate @LEGO Disney sets - 43217 'Up' House ahead of its release on 1 April 2023!

This set is a dream come true for many Pixar fans, and we finally get a cute, compact and great looking Up House.

It has plenty of references to the movie, and Carl's everlasting love of Ellie, his late-wife which will absolutely delight fans.

Despite a strong lineup of minifigures (including an awesome Dug mould), the set's incredibly expensive pricetag (US$59.99/AU$89.99) doesn't feel like good value, especially with Kevin nowhere to be found.
