LEGO Pick a Brick online standard orders is back, new elements begin trickling in

Fantastic news for LEGO Pick a Brick tragics (that’s me!), and element aficionados – after a hiatus to catch up on a backlog of orders, LEGO’s online Pick a Brick service is now back to normal capacity, with LEGO now accepting orders for “Standard” elements.

Excitingly, the Pick a Brick online service is also starting to fill up with new elements from August/September 2022 releases BUT not everything is in stock, so hopefully these will restock soon as there are some really interesting elements on sale.

You can check out all the newest Pick a Brick elements below

For those new to LEGO or this service, Pick a Brick online allows you to order most* individual elements directly from LEGO. There are 2 types of orders: Bestsellers, which are more common and ship out quicker from dedicated warehouses worldwide, and Standard, which typically take a few weeks to arrive as they ship out from Billund, Denmark. This service used to be called Bricks and Pieces.

*excludes licensed elements like Star Wars/Marvel and also rarer elements

Interestingly, the selection in the United States is much larger than Australia and even Europe as there are more elements listed available, which is slightly disappointing, but maybe the rollout is still ongoing.

I really want to order more horse barding and hopefully torsos from 10305 Lion Knights’ Castle, so fingers crossed they become available in Australia.

Also, the diverse minifigure heads from 21337 Table Football are also loaded up to the Pick a Brick US website, which means more non-yellow minifigure head options will now be made available.

Oh, and another thing I was able to confirm – despite mention in the Terms and Conditions that Standard Pick a Brick orders wouldn’t qualify you for LEGO Gift with Purchases, LEGO doesn’t seem to be enforcing that right now, as any order over the threshold will qualify you for the likes of GWPs like 40583 Houses of the World 1.

Be sure you’re following or subscribed, and I’ll try to cover any notable restocks! This is really exciting news for Pick a Brick fans. Personally, I find myself spending more on Pick a Brick online than actual sets!

Is there any way to set up an alert for when specific parts get back in stock, or do I just need to keep checking back?

    • Jay says:

Just gotta keep checking unfortunately. It’s a bit of a modern ritual for me

      • Håkan says:

I guess you have to keep track of what you’re interested in, as well as whether the parts would be Bestsellers or Standard, since in my experience shipping costs tend to be relatively high for smaller orders (even if you get past the service fees).

      • Nathanael says:

Success! Two weeks later of checking every day for restocking I have now ordered a handful of the historical Viking helmets 67037 .
The bardings are still in stock, so good luck!

        • Ivan says:

Where can you even find the bardings? I would order a few but cannot find them at all. (I do have checked to display “out of stock” parts too. I asked several people who were boasting they bought them, no one wants to share.. I wish Lego’s website wasn’t as bloody 90s design, especially this pick a brick part is kind of user unfriendly.

  2. Håkan says:

Alas, most of the Galaxy Evplorer printed tiles and new foosball heads were missing in Europe when I tried it. I guess I could try again some time later… Shipping costs have increased for small orders, though, so I’m more wary about buying tryout parts, now.

    • Jay says:

It’s very odd that the US has received a wider selection, and by the looks of it, have cleaned out all the Lion Knights parts too.

      • Håkan says:

I’m not sure if I follow your parsing. Do you mean that the US has received a wider selection, overall, but on the other hand have all particular Lion Knight parts removed for unknown business reasons?

  3. Eliseo says:

Thanks so much for the update! I haven’t checked in a a little bit so I was excited to get a few more of those bardings! The price on those is way cheaper than any barding I’d ever find on BL. can’t wait until they also release some more of those awesome shields.

  4. Paul Castle says:

I tried Pick a Brick recently because I wanted to recreate the iconic late 70s Knight’s Procession set, but found the service incredibly unwieldy and gave up before I’d even got a couple of stages into the instructions I’d found online. Is it going to be easier now?

    • Jay says:

It’s definitely improved somewhat with better filtering options, but it generally helps to have Bricklink/Rebrickable/Brickset as a companion site to search specific element IDs, as opposed to just browsing.
