The LEGO Speed Champions garage continues to expand, and now boasts the addition of two new cars from the James Bond and Fast & Furious franchise – the Aston Martin DB5, and 1970s Dodge Charger.
French retailer Joueclub has given us a peek at both cars, 76911 James Bond 007 Aston Martin DB5 and 76912 Fast and Furious 1970 Dodge Charger R/T which are due to arrive on 1 August 2022.
- 76911 007 Aston Martin DB5 – US$19.99 / AU$32.99 / £19.99
- 76912 Fast & Furious 1970 Dodge Charger R/T – US$19.99 / AU$32.99 / £19.99
Most excitingly, in addition to being 007 and Fast & Furious licensed, the sets also come minifigures of James Bond (Daniel Craig), and also family man Dominic Toretto, played by Vin Diesel.
I’m really excited by the prospect of both manufacturer and movie-licensed Speed Champion sets, as it opens up the possibility of so many more exciting movie cars.
Would love to see Herbie, Mini Coopers from the Italian Job, Ford GT40 from Ford v Ferrari and so many more in this format.
76911 James Bond 007 Aston Martin DB5

76911 James Bond 007 Aston Martin DB5 looks absolutely superb, and I think a must-have if you’re a Speed Champions fan. In a surprising twist, I think these are printed elements on the front, which are mind-blowing, but it’s a little hard to tell.
This looks much better than the Creator Expert version, and James Bond fans will be pleased.
The Daniel Craig Bond minifigure is understandable, given the proximity to No Time To Die, but I hope we get a Sean Connery version somewhere down the line.

76912 Fast and Furious 1970 Dodge Charger R/T

Dom’s Charger is okay I guess – the front looks a bit too blocky and doesn’t have the subtle downwards slope on the 1970s Dodge Charger, but it looks slightly better from the back.
It’s an okay model, but for fans of Fast & Furious and Vin Diesel, this is really a must-have. Personally, I would’ve really liked Paul Walker’s Skyline GTR, which I think would’ve been a more interesting pick.

I need to get them
I went there to be an AE86 set
OH YES.
Don’t really get into clone brand LEGO, but Cada actually have an Initial D license and I was VERY close to to picking one up.
But yes, if LEGO would do a Trueno, that would be absolutely perfect
Between this, the 2018 Speed Champions set and the Ghost Rider set, we now have have four different minifigure scale Lego Dodge Chargers.
Oh, I forgot the Ghost Rider one!
cool
They already did a fast and furious charger and it looks much better than that one
The big Technic one? No Dom Toretto though!
Reminds me… I haven’t popped to yhe Aston Martin showroom in Newport Pagnell – only a few miles from my home in Milton Keynes (England).
Last few times I went there was the opportunity to look through the giant glass wall at the back where cars were being restored.
I’ll never be able to own the real thing but this is a nice compromise.
Fascinating.
Oh wow that’s nice that they allow you to do that. Do they have a museum there as well?
This gives me hope we’ll get a new minifigure scale DeLorean.
I would die happy if we could just get a proper KITT. We already have a Hasselhoff figure and they could easily bring him back AND give him a proper mullet hairpiece.
They nailed both of those! Wow. The DB5 almost looks better than the creator set! Two must have sets in my books!
Yeah, LEGO elements have come a long way!
I’m just okay on the charger, but love that it’s a Fast & Furious set, so I’ll also pick it up. Speed Champions has been so consistently good!
I skipped the big Bond car because it lacked a Bond minifigure. So I’ll gladly get this one! (Though I’d have preferred a Connery…)
And I think my kid has all those Chargers! But.. here’s one more we’ll get him for the Dom 🙂
