More LEGO and Adidas products are coming!

LEGO and Adidas have announced that they have entered into a multi-year partnership that will see more co-created products to inspire creativity and foster a more playful, positive and inclusive world for adults and children from any background or sporting ability.

Details are a little vague at this point but, the press release and video hints that products for various sports and an active lifestyle.

The next collection will launch in December 2020 and throughout 2021, aimed at both kids and adults and crossing different LEGO themes.

Check out the teaser below!

Fans can count on the collections to deliver everything they’ve come to expect from the LEGO Group and adidas: colourful, inventive concepts that spark imagination, a sense of optimism whilst reflecting each brand’s commitments to inclusivity.

The launch video hints at several different sports from swimming, basketball, tennis and football, all of which Adidas has very strong roots and a presence in.

It’s time to start speculating on what this partnership will bring. Apparel and gear (and most likely more shoes) is a no-brainer, and it’s encouraging that LEGO and Adidas are also considering apparel for kids.

I also think that we’ll see the return of a LEGO Sports theme, where we have sets and minifigures playing different sports. LEGO already has a storied history of sports-related sets such as NBA, football, 2016’s German Football Team Minifigures and of course this year’s Old Trafford set.

If you loved what Adidas and LEGO did with the ZX 8000, this is probably great news. As a massive Adidas fan, I’m just ecstatic about the news and can’t wait to see what they do with this partnership.

Hopefully they’ll be easier to get ahold of than the limited edition sneakers.

What do you think of the deeper LEGO and Adidas partnership? What would you like to see from both brands?
