New LEGO Offers and Promotions include 2x VIP Points for Mario Day, and return of Houses of the World 1

Right after the conclusion of the Moving Truck GWP, we now have a brand new set of offers for mid-March, including one that will make picking up 10316 Lord of the Rings: Rivendell, slightly more worth your while.

Unfortunately, this also means that it doesn’t look like there’ll be an International Women’s Day gift with purchase, which I find a little odd as we’ve had one for the last 2 years (40450 Amelia Earhart & 40530 Jane Goodall).

Unless LEGO decides to surprise us with a new International Women’s Day GWP, it’s quite disappointing that LEGO didn’t have one for this year as I really liked the focus on historic women, and they made for great display models.

Also, looking at the dates, it looks like the next GWP after these, will begin from 13 March onwards, and I expect it to be something Easter-related as they always do.

List of all the March 2023 LEGO offers and GWPs

You can check out all the current offers and promotions in your region below:

First up, to celebrate Mario Day (aka Mar 10), LEGO will offer double VIP points on all purchases of all LEGO Super Mario sets from 4 – 12 March 2023.

A nice and welcome surprise is 40583 Houses of the World 1, which makes a return when you spend US$250 / AU$400 / £220 / €250 or more from 4-12 March 2023 on LEGO.com.

This is a VIP-only offer, but it’s free to sign up for the LEGO VIP Program to score one.

This is of course great news if you intend to pick up 10316 Lord of the Rings: Rivendell when it releases for LEGO VIPs on 5 March 2023, as you’ll get another bonus gift with purchase in addition to the free 40630 Frodo & Gollum Brickheadz set.

It’s a nice move from LEGO to bring back the Houses of the World 1 GWP to give a little something back for LEGO fans who will jump on Rivendell when it launches.

And of course, those who order 10316 Lord of the Rings: Rivendell between 5-7 March 2023 will receive a copy of the 40630 Frodo & Gollum Brickheadz set.

All in all, not too bad if you were thinking of jumping on the Rivendell set early on.

If you want to see more of Rivendell before you purchase, check out my in-depth review of 10316 Lord of the Rings Rivendell to see why I consider it one of my favourite LEGO sets of all time.

And last but not least, you’ll be able to score a free LEGO Friends-themed notebook when you spend US$65 / AU$105 / £220 / £60 / €65 or more on LEGO Friends, DOTS, Classic, Creator 3in1 or Disney Princess from 4-12 March 2023.

It also come with a set of sticker sheets which is pretty neat!

And for collectors of LEGO VIP Prints, there’s a bunch of new rewards in the LEGO VIP Rewards Centre which include this really cool retro print ad from 1965!

Houses of the World is no longer a GWP option…. I was going to finally place an order today with that GWP, but now it is no more. Bummer.

  2. Reader says:

The journal feels like much better value than Houses of the World. Did Houses return because of a lot of stock left over?

  3. Frankie says:

The disappearance of womens day gwp is really disappointing; I’ve actually been waiting with my purchases to lign them up with that release. And there’s definitely more than two great women in history! Makes you wonder why they cancelled what seemed like an easy win ☹️

I was also waiting to purchase some sets specifically for International Womens Day. I was excepted to see who they would recognize next. I will likely going for the House but I don’t think it is what most people want.

When I get into the Lego site, go to the Discover page and click on “International Women’s Day”, I get a “404 Page not found” error.

        Ouch!

I’m hyped about the Lego Friends journal!! I’m so lucky my birthday is right around the corner so I’m hoping my parents will order a set soon so I can get it!! 😀
