The LEGO House has announced that the 3D-printed wooden duck will be making a return and be available to purchase for a limited time in November 2022.
First handed to attendees of AFOL Day in The LEGO House, which is located in Billund, Denmark, this curious element is a LEGO minifigure-sized replica of the iconic wooden duck crafted by LEGO Group founder, Ole Kirk Kristiansen – and features a moveable beak!
The duck element will be available exclusively in the LEGO House store as part of the Minifigure Factory experience on the following weekends:
- 11-13 November
- 18-20 November
- 25-27 November
You’ll get to personalise your minifigure, and the Duck will be included as a special accessory.
This release is part of a pilot program by the LEGO Group to gather fans’ feedback and inspire future innovation.
According to the LEGO House team, there will be limited availability each day, and guests will need to sign up and purchase a Minifigure Factory minifigure (89 DKK each) to purchase one.
Check out how it works below!
Handed out to attendees at AFOL Day, part of the Skaerbaek Fan Weekend, it was a highly sought-after accessory, as you can tell by these sold prices on Bricklink.
This wider release should hopefully drop the prices slightly and make them slightly more accessible, but you’ll still need to be in/near Billund, Denmark to really make the most out of it.
If you’ll be in Billund during the highlighted dates, I’d love to hear about your experience getting the 3D-printed duck!

It’s a bit of a bummer it’s exclusive to in-person visits to Lego House. Would be great if it could be offered as a VIP reward so it could be available globally.
