The Lego Movie Collectible Minifigures Now Available in Australia

UPDATE: Part 1 of my review of The LEGO Movie Minifigures is up!

Lego Movie Minifigs Series 12

They’ve finally arrived Down Under! I’m proud to report that the eagerly anticipated Lego Movie collectible minifigures are finally starting to show up in Australia. It’s a relief to know that they’ve kept pretty close to the January release date and there wasn’t that much of a delay compared to the rest of the world.

So far these have been spotted at Myer, so it won’t be long till the other stores (Kmart, Big W, Target, David Jones, Toyworld etc) start selling them as well, so be on the lookout for the new dark blue blindbags. They retail for $4.99 as usual, so I’m happy to note that they haven’t raised the prices.

Lego Movie Minifigs

I’ve personally picked up an entire set from I’m Rick James Bricks, so expect a complete review of The Lego Movie minifigures in the next few days. My early impressions? The minifigs are pretty hit and miss like previous series. Now that I own the minifigs, I am even more excited about the movie! It’s such a shame that the release date for the movie in Australia is the 3rd of April 2014, a whole 2 months after the rest of the world has seen it!

Lego Movie Minifigure Manual Sheet

Good luck if you’re going on the hunt for these minifigs! To help you figure out the relative rarity of each minifigure, here’s the ratio and breakdown of each complete box of Lego Movie minifigures. I’ve numbered each one in brackets that correspond to the catalog sheet above if you’re having trouble figuring out the names!

Stay tuned for my review of The Lego Movie collectible minifigures in the next few days! As always, I’ll also be including a guide and tips on how you can feel and identify each blind bag to ensure that you get the minifig that you want. While Emmett is the main character of the Lego movie, I don’t think anyone wants to end up with 10 of him!
