LEGO 43232 Peter Pan & Wendy’s Flight over London revealed!
LEGO’s website has revealed yet another Disney 100 set, 43232 Peter Pan & Wendy’s Flight over London, which takes on another Disney classic and gives it the display diorama treatment.
43232 Peter Pan & Wendy’s Flight over London will be released on 1 September 2023, and is now available to preorder in Europe and the UK, and will retail for US$59.99 / AU$94.99 / £57.99, which is incredibly steep for only 466 pieces and 3 minifigures.
The set comes with 3 minifigures, Peter Pan, Tinkerbell and Wendy. Peter Pan and Tinkerbell look identical to the ones from 43212 Disney Celebration Train, so Wendy is the only true exclusive in the set.
The set does have an interesting design, featuring a microscale slice of London and Big Ben bathed in twilight, as well as plenty of details such as a home, bridge, and even Nana the dog, which is scarily faceless.
In all honesty, the set’s design is pretty nice, and I love the composition, colours and how well they captured this iconic scene from Peter Pan. The diorama base and printed Disney 100 tile add a touch of class, making it a really compact and cute set to display, especially if you grew up watching the movie.
Unfortunately, the pricing for this set is horrific: US$59.99 / AU$94.99 / £57.99 is an absolute non-starter in my opinion, especially as Peter Pan and Tinkerbell have been recycled from the Disney Celebration Train set.
I’ve been religiously picking up most of the LEGO Disney 100 sets, but I’ll definitely be waiting on a deep discount for this – at almost AU$100 here in Australia, this just feels so exorbitantly overpriced for what you get, which is a shame as I otherwise think the design is pretty nice, and this diorama format just works so well for classic Disney.
43232 Peter Pan & Wendy’s Flight over London will be released on 1 September 2023 and will be available from LEGO.com or your local LEGO store.
What do you think? Will you be picking this one up, or waiting on a discount?
