New The Mandalorian LEGO sets now available for pre-order

For those of you who are just dying to get your hands on the two new Mandalorian LEGO sets featuring Baby Yoda – you’re in luck!

Pre-orders for the sets are now up on LEGO.com!

LEGO 75292 Razor Crest

The most sough-after set will likely be 75292 The Razor Crest which features The Mandalorian, Greef Karga, Scout Trooper, IG-11 and the Baby Yoda (aka the Child) minifigure.

Here are regional pricing and links:

The set has a release date of 1 September 2020, and it’ll be shipped at that date.

LEGO 75317 The Mandalorian & the Child

For those of you who still want to get your Baby Yoda fix, but don’t want to drop a huge amount on the Razor Crest, there’s always the Baby Yoda and Mandalorian Brickheadz pack:

The Baby Yoda and Mandalorian Brickheadz have a release date of 1 August, which is when pre-orders will be shipped out.

Why preorder? The Mandalorian has been a massive hit, and Baby Yoda mania is showing no signs of slowing down, especially with Season 2 kicking off in Autumn 2020 (Northern Hemisphere).

Given the popularity of the show and character, I can totally see these sets selling out almost immediately upon release, especially as it’s so close to the holiday season.

Another perk of pre-ordering now is that you’ll still receive the 40 Years of LEGO Trains Gift with Purchase if you preorder these sets now. The promo ends on 15 March 2020, so best to get in quick!

I’m feeling very frustrated at the moment. I really want to order the Bounty Hunter Transport, but it’s constantly out of stock at Lego.com in the UK, and when I get an email notifying me of new stock it’s out of stock again by the time I see the email (I have no net or mobile access at work). I wish they’d allow back orders. It’s the same with the Tree House, though I’m not so desperate to get that.

Ah, bummer. It’s just really popular, but try to keep an eye out on sites like Amazon as well? I was in a similar position with the Mandalorian AT-ST, and only recently managed to squeeze an order through.

Are LEGO stores not open yet?

It’s out of stock on Amazon, and there’s none in my local Lego Shop, so I’m just going to have to be lucky!

Ideally they’ll get stock just in time for me to get the next freebie (I built the Year of the Ox yesterday 🙂 )

Yes I’ll go for Razor Crest, the baby Yoda is so cute. But I hate Brick Headz with a passion.

Lol, you reckon the RazorCrest is over priced? £179.99 for the brickheadz set in the UK! ? Hoping that’s a typo.

  5. Mark says:

Ouch. I thought being a pre-order that doesn’t ship until at least August 1 for the Brickheadz and Sept 1 for the Razorcrest they would charge a deposit. Nope, the full amount was immediately charged to my card. Interesting that they have a limit of 1 on the Brickheadz but 3 on the Razorcrest. I guess it makes sense the cheaper set will be in higher demand.

    • Jay says:

Yeah, I guess they really wanted that money up-front. I don’t really mind – I wanted the Train promo set but had nothing on my to-buy list, so this works great for me.

The Brickheadz is definitely more accessible – I think it’s a good thing that they’re limiting scalping with the limit of 1.

The RazorCrest is so ridiculously overpriced it’s not funny!
$200 for a not very big Star Wars set is highway robbery, and the only reason Lego keeps getting away with it is that idiots keep paying that sort of money!
Maybe people will hold onto their hard-earned dough in this crazy new world of global pandemics, toilet paper shortages!, share market meltdowns, and sports event cancellations ….. maybe Lego will have to reduce their exorbitant prices on licensed sets (& technic, & architecture, & modulates), to maintain market share & revenue?

    • Jay says:

Yeah true. I haven’t really bought much Star Wars sets in the last few years, but this is squarely driven by Baby Yoda mania, so of course they can charge what they want. I think the price is okay, compared to the US price. Our weak dollar actually makes our Razor Crest the cheapest in the world!

This is just the Star Wars tax at work.

  7. Mike says:

You know what, I was ABOUT to do it but then realised this is going to be up for preorder until Sept, so why not wait until a potentially more rewarding GWP on May 4?

    • Jay says:

      That’s a REALLY good point!

I pre-ordered because I really wanted the train set, so this is a good enough excuse for me.

    • Dane says:

But we could see the Star Wars 18+ sets around that time, buildable D-O so I think there’ll still be something to make the threshold.
